What's with all this Delay?

ok really who is creating all these delay so I can kill them, it seems theres a rumor for every lunach game coming out to be delayed. I think its pretty immature to get other people to think these kind of things to get your kicks.

What do you guys feel about this?

Please try not starting threads with undescriptive titles or swearing (even if they're abreviations)

well they just need time to perfect the game or do u want a buggy game with lots of problems or a delayed game with no bugs and no problems take u pick

Its not immaturity, its the truth. Some games are delaying becuase of beta and alpha testing not meeting deadlines. Im my opinion they should take their time to do something well done

its not that, I know they will be great games and if they need time give them it, its the fact that these rumors started and probably for someone amusement(Sonyfanboy).

Its also for the company reputation, these days companies are in war between each other to come with good games. Also in the beta testing they check every little detail, every little screen and that takes time.

If Halo 3 came out this year, I wouldn't want to buy it. If it came out next year, I guess so. If it came out in 2007 then I definitely would, because I know it would own so much. The more development time into a game, the better the results.

There's only 2 games I'm definitely getting at launch. Kameo and Oblivion. Both had years spent in development and I know I'll love them both for a long time (No sucky sucky pun intended).

Diamond games like halo takes months if not years, since it is a new engine they have all kinds of beta testing, but since its a sequel it should take less but still.

Mostwanted, yes sometimes is better to wait for a onth or two

Basically it all comes back to Microsoft being at fault. They did not get the final development XBox360 to the game makers till sometime in Mid-August when they should have been there months earlier so the game makers could tweak the software and clean up the fps rate. No company is going to put out a game that is not ready and risk ruining their rep and having wasted 2 years if not more. I think that on G4 tv, I saw a special on Crimson Skies and after 15 to 18 months they did not like what they had and the direction the game was going in so they fired alot of people and brought the game back to square one. They kept some of the missions but all in all, the game was redone from start.

Uhh... Yeah... That's why I explained I'm more likely to buy it the later it's released. Maybe you misunderstood.

Oh that reminds me. Anyone remember Duke Nukem Forever? That's been in development since 1997. I used to check the website daily for updates until I finally realized it has to be some kind of sick joke, there is no DNF. Well... I picked up the 360 launch guide and there it is, on the development list. Weird. Wonder if it'll actually be released. Thing is it better be damn impressive. So many of us have waited a very long time for this and if they're still using a 'modified Unreal 1 engine' like they claim it's going to piss me off.

Halo 3 has been in development since Bungie started with Halo 2,
and Duke Nukem Forever is maybe the game with most delays ever.
This game is finally (and hopefully) comming for the 360 using the Unreal Engine 3.

LOL. I saw a preview video for Duke Nukem Forever... It looked like crap, however, I think that may have been on PC's about 3 years ago. If they continue with it for the PC/360, I hope they revamp the graphics a bit.

They removed all the media of that build because they no longer reflect the look and feel of the game. In other words, they got rid of all that crap and started again with a new engine. (Unreal)
