Buying an xbox 360 today!!

I'm going to target today to buy an xbox 360. I don't really know that much about the kinds of xbox, but I do love gaming. There's the normal one that's $199, and then there are others that are more expensive. Can you guys tell me the features of this cheapest one, and the features of the more expensive ones, like the pro and elite. Thanks.

I would get one with a hard drive. You will want one eventually.

Get the Elite. Right about now, I think it's at $250 or $300.

get an eliete or pro. i have a pro. arcades are the cheapies. pros and elietes have better grapic cards.

Go and get the Modern Warfare 2 Bundle. Its a bit pricey but it includes a HDD(a 250GB,you WILL need a HDD), a second controller, and a game and some extra things.

I really think the difference is the hard drive. The box internals are the same.

I picked up the pro, for $250, and I'm very happy with it. Now all I need is to find a way to connect to xbox live, because my router is upstairs, and I don't know how to connect to wireless without buying that expensive wireless adapter. Any help?

If this sounds luike a solution then you are good... you can get a wireless antenna for around 35 dollars... not sure why you could not use on the 360....
I did it for my ps2 and it worked just fine when I played final fantasy 11.

if you don't want to blow a 100 bucks on the MS wireless antenna, there are certain ones that will work with it for cheaper. but you might have to do some of your own configuring to get it to work.

They are called wireless ethernet bridges. You have to do a bit of set up by connect the bridge to your PC first. It's not that hard. Then you connect the xbox to the bridge. using a standard ethernet cable. They come in all the different wireless network speeds (B/G/N).

Much cheaper and more reliable/longer lasting than the official wireless adapters that are only good for the 360

yeah. wireless mounted bridge things. exactly what i was talking about. mantis just had the eloquence and articulation.

Wire it! Wireless for the xbox sucks. trust me. it is. just gat a 100 ft internet cord and wire it up to your router. you get a much better connection.
