I bet the only thing you'll see from halo 3 this year is a big *** banner ad at E3. Other then that, don't have your hopes up for a while. It has'nt been a year since halo2, I rather go throught a long journy to reach my pot gold then a small to pick up a penny.

they've been working on Halo 2 and Halo 3 at the same time.

well i know that. i probly should have typed that little further down. what was sorta microsofts fault was the crap story and semicrap gameplay that didn't compare to CE.

I doubt Bill will do that seeing as how M$ already owns Bungie. Halo was originally going to be a PS2 exclusive until M$ bought it and made in an Xbox exclusive. Excellent move IMO.

No, that was Bungie's fault. They may have had only 18 months of game development, but they had 3 years of storyline work. The story is easily Bungie's fault. Also, if they wanted the gameplay to compare to CE, all they had to do was make it exactly the same as CE. They tried changing stuff, and it didn't work well. Bungies fault, not Microsofts.

The original Halo was originally a PC game before it was announced for Xbox. I've never heard of it even being considered for the PS2.

thats just heresay and rumour about 2 and 3 being made at the same time. Sure its been mentioned a billion times but that doesn't make it a true fact. I mean I wouldn't doubt they have done something like that, but since theres never to this date been any official word on it you can't really preach it as being the gospel. Just have to wait and see besides if they had been doing that the best they could have been working on it with that early was an alpha kit. So not really like they would have gotten very far ahead of any other game. Lets wait till the next E3 and maybe they'll at least announce something

Thats what i said on my first post. wait till E3, all you'll realy see is either a banner poster of halo3. Or maybe the game. just maybe.

hopefully at least some teaser trailer lasting like 20 seconds how they did the Halo 2 one. Just to sorta show off what they think they can do graphics wise. That'd work for me, at least knowing something

Why would you say that? To be Halo 2.5 it would have to only a slight addition to the Halo 2 code. Seeing as Halo 3 would have to have been made completely differently(for the 360) it will be a completely new game.

I'm not so sure about Halo 2 and 3 being developed at the same time. I could see them maybe rendering a few backgrounds and models, but not much more. After all, the 360 development kits weren't around when Halo 2 was in development. How can you develop a game without a development kit?

I could see it being playable at E3 if they pushed hard enough. The odd demo level could easily be done, just to give users a rough idea of what it plays like.

I'm always sceptical about these 'insider' sources. As 90% of the time they're wrong. I think i'll just wait and see.

Actually, I forget where(lost the link) but it was actually said on Microsofts official website that the development of both started at the same time. Also, Bungie is owned by microsoft, so they may have gotten a dev kit before most people even knew they were out.

I dont know what u guys are so worried about. Bungie wont let us down. I think they know that they let us down a little last time so it makes sense that they will make this game so amazing that it will make up for the downers of the last one.

This is almost as stupid as when people thought Uwe Boll would direct the Halo movie.
