The "new" madden, has better graphics then it's current gen conterparts, but has been striped down quite a bit. I read on IGN, that they took out a lot of things to make it ready for launch, but they did inprove the graphics.

I wouldn't get the 06 madden, for the Xbox 360. I would wait tell 07, when everything will be inproved.

yeah exactly, like G4 said hang out till the 07 version comes in and they wont have to strip out all the other modes you have in the current gen versions. I'll rent this one just so I can see the eye candy, but definitely not a buyer. In fact I read this morning some places (may have been IGN) saying that the EA lineup for launch was a little weak in how you could tell they were all rushed and a lot cut out. They say activision and the others are better off on their launches. Not to say EA wont straighten up their act for the 07 versions though. I imagine those being much better as they dont have to frantically rush to try to make the launch date like they are doing for these

I agree... These screens aren't too impressive, but they do look a bit better. Wait till Madden 2007 for an impressive improvement in just about everything about the game.

Those graphics are really impressive. If they are in-game pictures, then we'll be in for a real treat visually. This picture looks really good.

I'll wait untill 07. Madden 06 won't bring anything new besides graphics. When I see a new feature i'll pick it up. Those screens do look impressive.

I don't know much about American Football, but is it me, or the players look a bit chubby? (I know they're mostly well built, but these look chubby)

Also, I've read that EA considers this wave of games a transition to the next generation. We should expect better results in Madded 07 and Fifa 07.

lol. Funniest thing I heard all day. The chubby ones are on defense most of the time.

i just switched my pgr3 preorder to madden 06...i dunno if i made the right decision...i might go back and pick another game, i wanted elder scrolls so bad but they pushed it back, i cant get a 360 and not play a game for 13 days....i dunno anyone have suggestions??....CoD2 looks great, i just dunno yet....is CoD2 confirmed for launch?....i dunno just give me suggestions...they would be greatly appreciated....

madden dosent look anywhere near as nice as both nba 2k6 and nba live. and madden players always look fat.

NBA 2K6 looks amazing. I've never been a basketball game fan, but I did enjoy NBA Jam on the old Genesis.
