Q: Xbox Live Silver To Gold?

Ok basically, I'm planning on getting the full £280 version of the 360. Now I havent got a Xbox at the moment, so I havent got Xbox Live. The Full (£280) Version comes with Xbox Live Silver, so my question is;

When you start up Xbox Live Silver will I be able to make it a Gold account, or will I need to buy a seperate Xbox Live Gold starter pack for £40?

Becuase I really dont want the lame Xbox Live Silver.

Premium comes with one free month of gold, and you don't need a starter kit, you could also use your creditcard to pay, or buy cards with codes on it for either 1, 3 or 12 months xbox live.

Yes you'll have to buy gold separate, but its worthed so go head and buy it

You don't have to buy anything. Like said. You can pay with creditcard for just the membership, you can just create your gold account from your xbox, you dontneed any disk or something. Or you could buy a 1,3,12 month card and use that in your silver account to turn it into a gold account with so many months you paid for (or gold account to get more months). The startkit is just with more stuff, like an extra arcade game, headset, or discount.

30 months free trial. Silver is free, so don't worry. After the trail you buy cards or pay on credit.
