I will get 360 on launch day or whenever it gets to my retailer because my friends mom is the manage and she is holding one for me and him to buy right after school that day, and we dont have to wait for stores to open or any of that crap. And as far as it goes for mods i do them myself, because im experienced with computer modding. check my own 360 site.

They are making the 360 non modable. At least, xbox live. I dont think they will make special edition 360's because they have the faceplates to mess around with.

Also what if there are defects at first, then it would be better to wait, and if they come out with any new technological advances, what if they integrate them into the later versions, Then it would be better to wait also.

i already asked EB and they promised me that if anything happens with the first set of 360s, i will automatically get a brand new one from MS. i think thats how it works with all recalls anyways...

That is true, but if you want to mod, it will void the warrenty, then you will have a non working really cool looking piece of ****, lol, so that is another reason that you might want to wait.
