Hilarious/Sad happening at 360 kiosk

My wife and I went to wal-mart today to see if they had a 360 kiosk up yet. Well they did, so I almost ran over there to see it. There was a boy, probably 7 or 8 years old playing CoD2, and I just stared at the screen awe struck. It was simply amazing! I was at a complete loss for words... my wife was like.. "HOLY CRAP", and she doesn't even like video games! She ended up having to hit me in the arm before I snapped out of my stare. The funny thing was the kid that was playing it. His mom came around the corner, and was really upset. She says "What are you doing playing that? You're not old enough! Get over here!" The kid ignored her, so she came over to drag him away. He screamed when she grabbed him and tried to pull him with her. He would not let go of the controller, and she would not stop pulling. It was bound to happen... the controller snapped right off the kiosk! Afterwards, the mother was screaming at the boy, and wal-mart's security was called. The general manager also came over and was yelling at the mom and boy "WE JUST GOT THIS THING UP YESTERDAY!!! GET OUT GET OUT GET OUT!!!" My wife and I just stood there not knowing what to do or think. then it hit me... IT'S NOW BROKE AND I CAN'T PLAY IT!

I thought about that, but the mom was more to blame IMO. Yeah the kid should have listend to her, but she took it waaaaaayyyy too far.

It seemed like the mom was the kind of person that wasn't afraid to make a scene in public. The kid seemed like the spoiled brat variety.

Why are all you guys goin to walmart? I though they were 'unplugging' the kisoks?

it was up and working fine where i'm at... at least, before the incident. The wal-mart in my town is kind of new. they just converted it to a supercenter, so they probably don't have that old symbol inventory system that was having the interference issue.

Problem has been fixed from what I know. My buddy went and played it at the one in our town today.

What was I supposed to do? Step into the middle of a family disturbance? Not my cup of tea.... If someone is in my face, I'll let em have it, but I also try to stay out of other people's business.

I know what you mean man. It upset me too. I called a buddy of mine that works at EB to tell him about what happened. He said that M$ hired a 3rd party vendor to support the kiosks, and it will probably cost my wal-mart almost $2000 to have the company come out and get it fixed. Knowing the tightwads in my town, they probably won't fix it.

that sucks, kinda funny though cause i was walking by eb today and there was a security guard standing by the 360 kiosk i bet there was a little fight about whose turn it was and/or someone broke that one too , that would suck hardcore
