Posts: 304   |  My GameStop Story Ok well here is my GameStop story. I preordered my Xbox 360 in early July and I called awhile ago(about three weeks after I preordered it) and they said I would get the first shipment, then about a month after that I went to the store and asked what shipment I would get and they said first. But when I went today to GameStop they said I had no chance of getting the first shipment. So most likely I will take my money(and never go to GameStop again for anything  ) and go some where else that is first come first serve.

Posts: 167 |  Things are strange everywhere........I ordered in August, called today, guy said there is "no way I'm getting first shipment" then my wife called, got the SAME GUY, and he put her on hold, was really nice, and said it was no problem. I swear, if I don't end up getting this thing on launch day, I'm going to boycott these huge corporate piles of ***. I think it's a problem w/ management not telling the staff what is going on, and they just really don't know what's going on. |

Posts: 304 | I really hope I can get the Xbox 360 on the launch day, if not I will "boycott" like you said. I'll just have to wait and see, also can you take your preodered and cash it for cold hard cash or do I have to use store credit?

Posts: 2,248 | Thing is no one knows what is happening I sure the employees are being called night and day at stores from people asking what shipment they on. No one will know for sure because none have any idea how many 360's being alotted to stores on first shipment. They made no guarentees.

Posts: 802 | I personnally do no shop at gamestop because I don't like the way I am treated there. I go to a local game store that is about 20 min away from my house. it is a real small store and is family run so the people working there always got as much info as the manager.
