xbox 360 pick up

So I preordered my 360 from Game Crazy (Hollywood Video) and I received a phone call a couple of weeks ago saying that I should preorder any games or peripherals before launch date because of limited supply. they also said that i have 72 hours to pick up my 360.

Does this mean I can wait until the 23rd to pick up my console? Or do you think they'll run out and my preorder will be pushed back to the second shipment if I wait? I have work on the 22nd but I took the rest of the week off to play. I dont' know i guess its getting so close and I'm getting scared that something really bad will happen to prevent me from getting mine. Any other anxiety attacks out there?

I'm freakin out too, wondering if I pre-ordered soon enough to get first shipment......I preordered months ago, so I should be ok. But if I don't get it launch day, I'll have to take a hostage or something. I hope not, I'm not prison material.

i preordered mine June 13th, so i think i have the first shipment, but im going to call gamestop to see if they know or not....

honestly though why would you wait to go pick up ur pre-order?? and as far as the games are concerned unless there is only one game store in a 50 mile radius of where you live you will not have a prob getting a game. Thats just some lame @** attempt to get you to buy the games there.

Well if your not working all night I suggest having one of your work buddies to stand in for you for how ever long it takes to go get it. If not just wake up at the butt crack of dawn and go get yours. Quite the sitution your in

Yea I guess I'll call ahead and ask how early they open and just get it before work. Knowing my luck they'll sell out if I wait for after work.

Do you guys really think they would just skip over someone's pre-order? I pre-ordered mine last week some time. I called around to a bunch of different stores and finally found ONE EB Games location that was still taking pre-orders.

But I work on the 22nd as well. I was just going to go after work, which would get me there around 5PM. Think that might make things difficult?

Well here is my story. I preordered my Xbox 360 in early July and I called awhile and they said I would get the first shipment, then about a month after that I went to the store and asked what shipment I would get and they said first. But when I went today to GameStop they said I had no chance of getting the first shipment. So mostly I will take my money(and never go to GameStop again) and go some where else that is first come first serve.

Just called and they said I can pick it up on launch day @ midnight. They said they would have held it for me for 72 hours and everyone who preordered before august 31 is guaranteed one on launch! Yes!

I went in to the Gamestop I ordered mine from about 6 weeks ago and put another $200 down, and they confirmed I was first shipment, but I am gonna call them before launch just to reconfirm. I'll be the first one in line at Midnight!

A friend of mine pre-ordered his at EB and got a call the other day saying he would get his on launch day but EB is giving out time slots for people to come in to pick it up?? Has anyone else heard of this?!?! Oh, and EB is not doing a Midnight launch!?!?
