Clearing up some EB 360 launch rumors

I just talked to EB corporate headquarters. The guy I talked to said that M$ has guaranteed them enough 360's to fill all their preorders made on or before 9/6. Thus far, everything else is up in the air. Orders made after 9/6 could be on 2nd or 3rd shipment depending on the order date and time. However, still no one knows how many preorders the individual stores will be able to fill on launch day. IMO, if you preordered at a local EB shop, be there at midnight to pick it up, or you may be sol until 2nd or 3rd shipment.

Ok gamegruld's frien talking to a district manager, you talking to an EB corporate headsquarter, now i dont know what to think. Everybody says a different story, and its getting real confusiong for many ppl

yeah the guys at my EB said their particular store probably wont be doing a midnight sale since they are only getting 20 units total. (Which I guess I can understand no reason to make their employees come in just for that) I'm first on the list out of all preorders so I dont have to worry. But it is pretty bad that everyone you ask says something completely different ahk

I am in the first batch at the Gamestop that I preordered mine at back in May, the peeps there told me they were only getting 25 Premiumsystems for the Midnight launch.

I think my store had somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 coming in.......I Def have one, and looks likely for a midnight release.

The eb near me where mine is coming from said for sure midnight release and i was number 14 on the list. I think I pre-ordered mine at the end of august so I like this stroy the best.

I went into the eb where I preordered my 360 to pay on it. I've been asking the same guy for months now how many they were getting and he always told me that they didn't know. Well, when I went in the other day he said that they are getting 22 confirmed units for launch. I preordered in May and I am #9. So he said a lot of people got bumped back that was supposed to be on first shipment and that he was beginning to make the phone calls. They also aren't opeing early.

My local EB just told me yesterday that MS cut their order in half. originally they were supposed to get 27 units. Now they're only getting 14 on launch. I'm #20 on the list and preordered mine back in June. Mine is already paid in full, but now i'm not guranteed one at launch. The manager told me I would most likely get one though because he said there are always 6 or 7 people who don't have the money to pay off the system at launch. Needless to say I was kinda disappointed. Now i may have to go make a mad dash at midnight somewhere. I was trying to avoid that!

im really telling you the truth.the 360 shipments will be cut in half.the eb is already calling some people to tell them.THE GUY I TALKED TO TOLD ME HE TALKED TO THE BESTBUY MANAGER THEY HAD 300 360 ON ORDER THEIR SHIPMENT GOT CUT ALL THE WAY TO 20.DONT GET ME WRONG I HOPE THAT THATS NOT THE CASE

No, gamer gurl, I think you're right.........my store got their promised units cut in half as well.......and now I don't get one at launch!

I'm sooooooo mad at M$ right now......bastards!
