flashing xbox 360 dvd rom drive help

trying to flash my 360 dvd rom
ok heres the issue I've never done this before, Ive read many forums and watch alot of youtube crap trying to figure this out.
I an unable to get my new dvd rom for my 360 to work
I am using a usb to sata
dvd rom type: Hitachi-LG
Model: gdr-3120l
Rom Ver 0079fl
New DVD Rom is exact match except for the S/N of course


Heres what Ive gotten done so far
I've gotten my computer to recognize the new xbox dvd-rom but it shows it as not working and doesnt show it under "my computer" just under the device manager tab under DVD/ CD-ROM DRIVER, it has the "!" point on it
I can't get jungle flasher to recognize it using the USB mode.
The Send mode B doesnt work as well
Ive never done this before any helpful advice would be awesome.
