Posts: 7 | I'm a 360 guy, and I won't buy the PS3 or Revolution, I won't even buy a Sony camera! The guy had some points, but he went about making them the wrong way. The guy is either biased towards Sony, or he's a bad writer, because his article made it sound like he was saying "don't buy the xBox 360, it's crap". The truth is, when the PS3 releases, it's going to be a lot more expensive. The 360 will probably drop at least $50 to help goad people to it. They might even go so far as to do away with the Core system and retail the Premium package for the Core price. Which means if you wait until the PS3 launches (which won't be Spring '06, I guarantee it, probably holiday '06 at the earliest), you could save $50 to $100 on your 360. But to me, I'm paying that extra $50 or $100 to have mine now. If I could have had it 8 months ago for $450, you best believe I would be playing it right now. I think this article is geared more towards the people eBaying one for Christmas. Those guys are going to spend $600 to $2000 dollars this Christmas. That's a little outrageous, and I would personally wait before I did that. My overall thoughts on this article, the guy is ignorant. Anybody who's decided to get a 360 is not going to change their minds over this load of Sony-loving crap.
Oh, and the original xBox was HD ready. No one made a big deal about it. When I went from the standard RCA connections to the HD Component connections, I was amazed! It was a huge difference, and that was a lot lower than 720p. I can't wait to see Halo 2 on the 360! If you don't have one yet, get an HD-tv. It's worth it if you are serious about your games and movies.
