limited edition 360 tin

i received a voucher in the post for a limited edition 360 tin from game (uk)
it is for people who pre-ordered only
it has a booklet in & a dvd with general chat about the system & all the trailers of the launch games,
has anyone else received this,
i'm thinking will i definetely receive a console now ive got this??

I got one too, I spoke to my local GAME Manager and he said basically his allocation for the store was the exact amount of preorders. If this is the same case everywhere I think we will be ok.

someone i know preordered on august 18th and got this letter and hes not getting one

i phoned the game store were i pre-ordered, the sales assistant said if i pre-ordered i will get a console,
when i asked how many pre-orders they had taken he said 50,
50 aint alot,
they had a sign in the window saying you could pre-order, so i did,a week later the sign had been taken down,
if i dont get one i aint gonna be amused, i could've took my £ elsewere,
this whole scenario with this system is a joke,

its your own fault for pre-ordering so late...there is always walmart.

lawrence doesn't say when he pre-ordered and also the 3500 mile flight west to camp outside Walmart may be a bit out of budget!

the pre-order the 360 sign was in the window when i pre-ordered,
the week later it wasn't, so i'm thinking i have made it in time,

have a look over at avforums.com (not to be confused with the US avsforum) theres a specific section in the gaming/xbox section that has threads on all of the UK suppliers. There may be useful info there if you have a trawl about.

Mods - please note this is not to promote another forum (its mainly A/V related anyway) but to maybe help out a fellow forumite. I know some forums mods can get a bit tetchy when other forums are mentioned.

thanks for that advice mate , at avforum there is alot of conflicting information though,according to the receipt numbers i'm positioned at number 24 ,fingers crossed if the assistants assumption of them being allocated 50 units is right,,well as long as the kids get one for christmas day i aint fussed

Yeah I got one of these I also got told I am gauranteed a console on launch night, as the GAME i went to only recieved 12 pre-orders

i have just phoned the game store were i pre-ordered, once again they've told me,if i did put the £20 deposit down i will definetely receive a 360 on launch day, i asked about the shortage, he said there was a shortage but ive got nothing to worry about,all deposits they took will be honoured,
