Posts: 22     |  whats a good modem K, so basically my modem sucks and lags me out wheneve rit feels like it and makes me take about 3 minutes to start/spawn in custom games and about 3-4 minutes to start a matchmade game...so im looking for a cheap but reliable modem that you guys know works...right now im leaning towards a d-link 202 but im looking for a second opinion please xbox live users only though

Posts: 1,098  | afaik means: as far as i know The problem might not be your cable modem. If you use a router, like a linksys for instance, it very well could be the problem. For home use, I would recommend a Netgear. You might want to check with your cable company about the modem. Most of them have arrangements with certain modem manufacturers limiting what brands you can use. I know that Comcast in my area will only work with SMC cable modems. (thank god I don't have Comcast)

Posts: 22 | i do use a linksys router but for a couple of months it worked perfectly and then all of a sudden a couple of weeks ago it went b*tchy on me so i dont know what to think (and i do have comcast)
