Yeah, Sony definitely can't afford to lose money on the PS3, what with the dual-shock lawsuit, the loss of money on the PSP (they planned to make up the production costs on software, which they didn't), and their ever-hardening image as complete bull****ers. Yup, Sony is definetely on the ropes in this gen. In the beginning I thought the Rev. might be on the ropes as well (for a slew of completely different reasons), but it is gaining support fast as more info is revealed. The 360 has been in a cozy position from the beginning.

ACTUALLY 1up even interviewed a programmer from gurilla games which said that only 1/4 of the presentation was CGI which was the very beggining in the clouds and the rest was IN GAME SO YOU MIGHT WANT TO DO YOUR RESEARCH FANBOY. you all are so unbiased. yeah ths may be a xbox360 site but you cant deny teh facts. see wat M$ did after E3 they released press packets trying to say "we dont even know how sony thinks they can get that much power in a console" IF thats the fact then why thte hell do M$ say taht there console is more powerful. EVEN DEVOLPERS HAVE CHOSEN PS3 over the xbox360 becasue it has more power in there console.

the Ps3 was estimated by 1up/ign and c.net by manufacture costs at $475 NOT 525. second why wouldnt i sell my consoles to get 2 new next gen consoles that are when combined more powerful than all the old consoles put together WHY THE HELL NOT. i dont play my atari2600, dreamcast,segacd,nes,snes,playstation,n64,andps2,o rxbox(no games that are good havent even come out in the past 3 months). amd all the games for them except MGS3,Halo2,Burnout3. thats good if you want to save your old consoles but not for me

i have a question...how can it be in game when the graphics chip hasn't even been created yet. also, the executive producer said in an interview with ign that those graphics are a representation of what they HOPE TO ACHIEVE!!

that isn't in game, you can fool yourself all you want. decode the pixellations if you want to. i did. they're cgi. they're prerendered. and the fact that you can't realize that shows your shortcomings in the intelligence department.

also, what is your proof that ps3 is more powerful? the microscopic bandwidth? the pathetic g70 graphics processor? or maybe it's the cell, with its spe's that have no data rendering capabilities and have to be run through an in-line mode to be anywhere near efficient?

have you ever tried to code through 8 individual channels? the ps3 is not going to be more powerful than the 360. it may be as powerful, but you need to do your research.

also, the next time you try to call someone dumb, you might want to use proper english, instead of misconstrued quick-typing.

IF developers are saying taht the PS3 is more powerful than the xbox360 than it is more powerful. microsoft is counting on tehre guide features and xbox live to be able to help them deal with the shortcomings of there console. there are hundreds of articles stating that the ps3 is more powerful than the xbox by far, and these statments came from professional anylasts and programmers. so why would you believe M$ there just going to say that there console is so good blah blah blah. the same is happening to sony where there saying that there console is more powerful. but wants the professionals that have no affiliation with the parent compaines analyze the hardware or the specifications then we will know. which they have and have said that the PS3 is more powerful than the xbox360.

name them. i want to see some names. every time i see someone up in arms about the ps3, it's a representative of nVidia or UE3.

they're partners with ps3 and they have to spread good pr!

also, the mgs and gta devs have licensing contracts with sony so they have to spread good pr! look at anandtech's article comparing the 2 and draw your own biased conclusions.

No offense fragged but dont take what I said personally you can still salvage your reputation and become fair and non-fan boyish. Theres some things I like about the PS3 and some things I like about the Xbox 360 (So far the Rev. has nothing I want I would rather stick to my good old SNES) Really I dont care so much about the GPU Speeds, or which company is helping out which company! They dont give a FLYING F*** about us! All they care about is the money we carry! So really why care whos who!? Its like with voting for politicians what the h*** does it matter who gets elected your life is still going to be filled with fun and excitement! And it will sometimes still suck! Thats why I dont care which company is which I have a PS2 (Which broke twice because the makers of it forgot to put enough fans to cool it down but it has decent graphics and alot of games I like and I can sit back and watch a DVD! Or I can play all my Kick-A$$ FPSes on my Xbox, play splinter cell and watch DVDS! I have a GC which has some fun games on it like the good star wars games, I personally love the strategy in Pikmin and one of my favorite FPEs ever: DIE HARD: VENDETTA! Thats why each console will have its own disadvantages and advantages.
