The sony hype machine is starting to faulter. Recent info suggests that a stripping of the PS3 componets directly related to a faultering schedual and overall identity crisis for sonys new machine.

Cost of manufacturing a PS3 seems to be really hurting them. Price is an important factor and losing the hard drive will cost owners of the PS3 in the future. I mean how many people bought a game cube because its was to low a price to resist.

The funny part is that as soon as Sony dropped Bluetooth (I think it was that), Nintendo announced that it would be adding it.

It's really too bad, though. I like my Gamecube, but was planning on picking up a PS3. However, if it costs $500 and lacks any noteworthy features, I may wait a few months.

The PS3 is also losing support of many Big-Wig developers besides the Japanese ones also Ken K. appears to be hollow in appearance to many people now.

that's true, here in america, we are beginning to turn against playstation's monopolistic control over the market share, and in turn the rest of the world is beginning to take a serious look at the 360 whereas they weren't before.

sure a poll was taken in japan and only 30 of the people wanted a 360 over the ps3, but that's going to change as soon as all the smoke and mirrors are gone and those japanese are left with a half-generation console and crap games while those 30 people will be kickin' it with the millions of people on live and enjoying halo3, gears of war, and whatever else they want!

i think mistwalker signing with xbox for those 2 rpg's was a huge blow to scea

The majority of us knew that Sony would be cutting features, but I have a feeling it is not over yet. What will the masses have to give up next? 1080p? Hmm...

Every friggin week the PS3 is losing support. I mean think about expensive, hype , hollow and empty promises: The PS3 will fail and because of its longer than hell release date it will have to be good in sales and performance for ppl to buy it in huge numbers.

actually ^^^^^^^^^^^ your wrong people all over teh USA are more interested in ps3 and the others just want both becasue of teh ps3's grpahics WHICH ARE BETTER YOU ALL NEED TO DO YOUR RESEARCH! and then they want an xbox for halo and the xbox live. which does not out wigh the ps3 in demand. also with the pricing speculation with all of you sayin ITS GONNA BE $500 no its gonna be around $299-$359. you all need to check that casue KAZ HURAI EVEN SAID THAT IT WILL BE AROUND THAT PRICE point. and who cares just sell all your old consoles and get both.

I think it's true that Sony's monopolistic grip is definitely coming to an end. I think control could go either way, to MS or Nintendo.

I think its a bit to early to say!!! and to be honest ill be getting a 360. What Sony do with there PS3 i really couldnt care

they can add a grill for all i care. I think xbox live really made the last xbox and its going to be tough 4 sony to compete with that.

They add features like browse the internet and add music to ur ipod; if i wanted to do all that i would use my PC!!!

Wow, when you get worked up, you tend to loose your basic spelling and grammar skills. Best keep your cool, articulate your idea into cohesive sentences. It keeps the forum more fluid.

Okay, you claim that the RSX will be better. Obviously you have some sort of info that the rest of us do not, please feel free to enlighten us on your claim. Also, could you post a link to the Kaz Hurai quote on the PS3 price. The lowest I have seen thus far is $399. Maybe if they keep cutting features it will be $299, or maybe Kaz already factored that aspect into his quote.

Well that was a previous rumour PSX or PS3. Sony isnt looking too good right now they have lost ALOT of support. Remember Sony has about 2 years to release and two years is pretty long away. The Xbox 360 will score very high sales in my opinion since already the preorders are running low on it. I really really really do think the X-360 will be an incredible system.

sorry to burst your bubble, but since sony is in serious debt, they can't lose a lot of money on the sale of the ps3 console.

as it stands right now the console will cost roughly 525 bucks to produce. in your logic that'd be at least a 175 dollar loss....they cannot lose that much.

why would you want to sell all your old consoles to get 2 consoles?

i am only getting one and i'm not selling my nes, snes, genesis, dreamcast, atari, or my xbox.
