Default Xbox error. MS admits there are problems.

We all know about the reports of Xbox 360's freezing on Live, in the dash, and in-game (particularly Project Gotham Racing 3). Well Microsoft have finally spoken about the problems to Reuters.

Microsoft spokeswoman Molly O'Donnell told Reuters, "We have received a few isolated reports of consoles not working as expected." She went on to say that, "With any launch of this magnitude, you're bound to see something happening."

Granted, the Xbox 360 launch was of a significant magnitude in that a world wide launch is a massive undertaking, but then again there are these shortages... Was anyone really prepared for the large amount of posts that people have been making all over Xbox 360 fan sites (this one included)?

O'Donnell further said that the number of calls they have recieved about the problems is small, and as they expected. People suffering from the problems can call 1-800-4MY-XBOX to troubleshoot the issues.

M$ is notorious for releasing products with bugs just look at all the operating systems they released that had sever security issues and had to make patches for right away.

Really I waited about an hour before I hung up. I called because I couldn't transfer my account but I got it working now.

Huh. Well mines running tip-top! Call of Duty is the $hit! No problems on live either. If there's lag, I leave (someone has a horrid ping) and I'll get back in another game in about 15 sec (serious, its that fast). High Def and 5.1 surround is the only way to go! Been playing it atleast 16 hours a day since I got it at midnight. NBA 2K6 is stunningly real, and is even more fun than the xbox version. Watched a DVD on it, plugged in my coolpix camera and it loaded up thumbnails just like the pc. And the controllers are like an extension of my hands. The plug and play chargers are highly recommended. Love it!

My only complaint is yours as well. The shortages suck! More gamers need to experience this. Everyone loves a picnic!

I now know and understand the ring of light.

Yeah I just got mine today and have been playing in nonstop since about 6pm. It does produce some heat but the fans seem to be doing a good job. The console case is a little warm to the touch but nothing to complain about. Im probably going to get a small fan and sit beside just in case but no problems so far, I love it. I better keep my fingers crossed though.
