Posts: 2,545 | this question has been asked 1000 times, the answers will be bout the same
a) ur on a 360 forum, so peeps are gonna favor the 360
b) the 360 is much cheaper
c) the graphix will not be much diffrent at this point on either system, and both of the systems have barely been tapped (yes including GoW) and both have alot more to give than is being shown
d) Xbox360 has a bunch more great games for it now. Who knows how long it will take ps3 to catch up or beat it. But then again sony is known for pushin out buttloads of games (most r crap) to have a large library.
e) Its up to you, like 90% of the games will be cross platform
f) i doubt sonys online service will ever match the Xbox Live service, it has alot of catching up to do.
g) Its up to you.
e) bah, get a Wii instead and get some videogame exorcise!!
PS. i love my 360 it is the forshiznit. |

Posts: 3,184 | I am going to dispel a myth: The Xbox 360 has more potential than the PS3 in terms of graphics (due to it's GPU being superior).
Both consoles will herald great graphics and games but the real choice is what exclusive titles do you prefer. If you are into racing games:
PS3:
Gran Turismo HD (late 2007)
Grand Turismo 5 (2008)
Formula One Championship (early 2007)
Motorstorm ( early 2007)
Xbox 360:
Forza Motorsport 2 (early 2007)
GTR (early 2007)
Project Gotham Racing 4 (late 2007)
Forza Motorsport 3 (2008)
These are just some examples but for each genre of gaming that you like, compare the games on each console and choose from that as the graphics are a moot point, for now at least. Quote: |

This problem as far as I know has been solved. If you wait until early 2007, the 360 will be made using 65nm construction techniques which will make the die of the CPU smaller and dissapate less heat. |

Yes! That's one thing I am happy about, it means that you can run games quiter (the HD DVD drive is not as loud as the internal DVD drive). |

Posts: 2,545 | Metal gear will never come to the 360, sorry to break it to you. Halo will never go to the PS3 either.
I have a launch day 360, and yes there was a small problem w/ heating on SOME systems, but alls you have to do to fix it if your worried, is just lean the power brick up against the wall at an angle so it gets plenty of air. It only overheats if you cramp it up like next to the entertainment center, on the carpet, so it gets no airflow.
In the end, scottracer is right about the chipsets being more powerful, so the 360 should always be able to look better than the PS3, but the ps3 SHOULD be able to produce more physics or whatever if they can ever figure out how to work that cell processing correctly, but then again the PS3 has a bandwith bottleneck that might prevent that... There was an article link on one of the forum posts that had a very detailed discription of every part of each system in comparison, and which was better at doing what.
If your going to go up against MS on who can make the better supercomputer, you are probably going to lose. They may not make all their parts, but they know how to make em work! Which OS are you useing to read this?

Which OS are you useing to read this? | O RLY? Listen to the latest podcast on 1up, they talk to a Kojima guy...he hints at it alot also, Konami are pressuring Kojima to put MGS4 on 360. When the 1up podcaster said "I think that MGS4 will come to 360 but not until a year later than PS3", the Kojima rep replied "Why do you say a whole year?". Something fishy is going on!
Devil may Cry IS coming to Xbox 360 as Capcom are making all games multi-format so just watch this space but Microsoft would never allow Halo onto PS3. No way, no how.
PS: It looks like I edited your post but I pressed the wrong button "edit" instead of "quote", no need to worry lol. |

Posts: 142 | Halo and Gears of War are Microsoft owned. Ps3 will never see these titles however the only really good game owned by Sony is Socom, so that will never make onto the 360 but Metal Gear could definetley be on the 360.

Posts: 522 | well i'd bet some money on mgs coming on the 360. Reason for this is that konami hasn't been that exclusive with the MGS series in the past if i remember correctly the original xb had a few MGS games too
there'll be a delay to the ps3 release if my memory serves me correctly the xb owners had to wait for the mgs substance for about a year after it's ps2 release....man i don't remember anything these days !!!!!!!!!!! I'M SENILE |

It tells you the differences between the premium and core. Keep in mind that the premium is $400 and the core is $300. you should be able to figure out which is the better deal based on that. |

Posts: 2 | Wait, So I could run Gears Of War on the HD-DVD Drive? As long it is plug into the USB port of my 360 console?
And it is more quiter?
I have a feeling Microsoft might just make a all in one console with the HD-DVD Drive in one.
But I love how Microsoft did it with a add-on so if you want it go ahead and get it, Microsoft didn't force anything on us.
Nice though I didn't know that about the HD-DVD Drive |
