Posts: 792 | Some thoughts on the Elderscrolls games. I currently only have video games on my Xbox due to my current computer not being beefed up to play games. So I only know the Xbox version of Morrowind. What exactly does the PC version have extra?
I've played Elderscrolls II Daggerfall on PC and LOVED the randomly generated dungeons as well as being able to buy ships or buildings, despite it being a huge monster of required memory "650MB or something like that" to do the full installation.
I'm loving how the Elderscrolls world is fleshing out as the hardware become good enough to support it. Daggerfall had boxy cities and no trees but decent dungeons with secret switches to unlock secret rooms. Morrowind has promising cities with some interesting architecture and some minor tree cover but most of the dungeons are not awe inspiring and have no secret switches. Oblivion is promising to have fully fleshed forests and dazzling cities as well as, over 200 dungeons. One of the Demo Videos even has the Demonstrator mentioning the Stats page in your menu keeping track of the number of building you own, awesome! |
