XBox Live trouble

im having trouble getting on xbox live i pre registered my gamertag and stuff, everything is ok except the last part when the 360 is moddifying my account it says "thins can nor be preformed at this time please try later so i tried again today and the same thing popped up can anyone help

It said that when I tried also. I was trying to transfer my account over to the 360, but it wouldn't let me so I just had to buy a new account and it worked fine.

Same thing happened to me but I just tried it a few times then it worked, so I dunno what the problem is. Hope it gets straightened out.

I ahd the same issue tonight but on the OLD XBOX. When I logged into XBOX Live it stated something was downloadig before I can proceed and to check in a few minutes. Once it was done, as I wanted about a minute as was not able to get onto LIVE until I signed all the way out of XBOX Live and hten signed back in. Everythign worked form there.....still waiting for that 360

I have the xbox 360 core and i want to buy a gold membership to xbox live but i dont know how....can someone help

Yea, no problem....Go into tha live marketplace, click on memberships, select tha membership you want, and then add payment option. It will give you tha choice to either add a credit card or add tha subscription card. I hope that helped...
