If I were you I wouldn't. The 360 may come in 2 forms, the $300 or $400 and we don't know which list we're on. I think M$ should make an official pricing announcement before we pre-order. Don't forget what happened last time around. Buying $500 systems and $#!T like that. Hey I'm just trying to be reasonable.

we're all on 1 list ATM, if there are indeed 2 forms youll then chose which. theyre not just gunna randomly chose which one they think you want

I think that it is fairly safe to pre-order a 360 with little to no fear of not getting the correct one. In addition those that do not have a system pre-ordered will most likely not be getting one on release date or any time shortly thereafter.

I was saying not to pre-order it untill microsoft releases the pricing and forms of the product. When I asked EB they said they can't garuntee that if it does come in to forms they can't assure me my pick of which form of the console I can get. If we wait we'll know what M$ will do and pre-order which form if there are two. One way or another I will be getting a 360 on November 4th.

The other problem is if you wait for the official announcement, which for arguments sake is in September, you may of waited too long and miss out on getting your console at launch or even before Christmas due to the rumours of a shortage. The earlier you get your preorder in the better chance you have of actually reserving your 360 at launch.

Not exactly true your misinterpreting, I called up my friend at EB just to verify what I was already pretty sure about and he told when they are telling you "we can't guarantee" that just means on launch day they can't say for sure how many of each bundle they would get (remember this is just him saying if there were two bundles he didn't say there was or wasn't) if for arguements sakes lets say they do have 2 bundles. Now if they get at one store 20 total consoles 10 of each of the 2 forms. And they have like 20 preorders to fill and they all want just one of the two bundles. Then the 1st 10 preorders are filled and the other 10 people are basically told they are on a first come first serve basis. You aren't FORCED to take the one you dont want. They just are informing you that they can't guarantee the #'s and so they can't guarantee yours at launch. They are basically saving themselves from people screaming at them on launch day for making promises they can't keep. Just because you perorder way back in the day does not put you in danger of having to take a bundle you dont want. So even if that did happen and you are further down the list you might not get it on the very 1st day ify our wanting a certain bundle that they run out of (and yeah that would suck) but you would still get it earlier than someone who is waiting right now on an official announcment. As they will be some hundred people down the list or more.

Well When i pre-orderd mine as long as I went in and told them which bundle i want with in a few days I would get the bundle I asked for.

But with a world wide releise in a matter of weeks I can see their being a shortage of 360.
At the end of the day i know mine is orded and as soon as packages are anounced i will be down to choose which one I want. Their for garenteeing me a 360 of my choice.

I was the forst to pre0order in my gamestation their for I get the first choice :P

I already pre-ordered, and I don't care which package I get as long as I walk out the store with one in my hands.

At this point, all we have are rumors and analysts- nothing official. I suppose over the next few weeks we'll get a better handle on all this.

i just preordered 2 more. 1 for my cousin and one for my ex-girlfriend's bro. christmas crap. or channukah, he's jewish.....i dunno anymore, i'm so lost.

anyways, just preorder, don't wait for the price, because it won't affect the preorder. there will be 1 and i will say again, 1 version of the console.

You can Pre-order a xbox360 in some secure stores or coporations, I think that will more ensure than small stores. One of my friends has pre-order a 360,cause he want to be the first owner of it.

yeah that's one of the main reasons I've preordered. I don't want to miss out at launch and if stocks are limited I may not get it until after Christmas. The PSTwo was a prime example of this at Christmas gone. Hopefully MS will have enough for everyone, but I don't want to take that risk.

Damn that's steep. I hope your niece appreciates you forking out that kind of cash. Anyway at least you'll have two quality consoles to play on, namely the Revolution and 360
