Check out these brand new screenshots of the upcoming Gears Of War. Some people are expecting this game to be the equivalent of Halo 3, so while we wait for the release, have a look at the pics yourself and see what you think.

Halo 3? Correct me if I'm wrong but didnt the lead designer of GOW say it played more like a survival horror/shooter than just a fps? Like I said, maybe I misheard him. But if thats the case, why compare? Still though, I'm excited for this games release.

Now this just screams next gen...Is it just me or does this game look just as good as the PS3's metal gear sold 4 game, or a lot better...to me it seams that the textures on gears of war look life like, like u can touch it, and the MGS 4 game just looks like a very good looking next gen title, u know its a game by the graphics there’s never a thought of how I could almost touch it.... I always get the thought of clay when I ever see a screen shot of Gears of war...granted that the PS3 game doesn’t use the unreal engine 3, and that MGS4 is not even close to being finished...I’m just tired of those damn PS3 fanboys and all the TV shows saying that this is much better looking then anything the 360 got r is going to have any time this yeah..

believe it or not that’s all done on one of the three CPUs.. Yeah thats right (1!)..they imported the game from the PC and they would have had to reprogram the game to use all three CPUs and they stayed with one. They talked about working with multiple CPUs in the future, whether it’s with the unreal engine 3 or 4, is unclear. So GOW could be using multiple CPUs buy launch..

Those look amazing!!! I can't wait to pop this one into my 360. Any word on a release date yet, or still just speculation?

Also, in reguard to the MGS 4 pics, is it just me or does that look about equal to the source engine, maybe a bit better?

they didn’t say when GOW is coming out. and about all the delayed games..they just aren’t ready for launch. I rather wait two more months and get a grate game, then getting it sooner but with all the little bugs that add up to a bad game..

I'm hearing Gears to be released in March (2 months), but I'm also hearing that's a false rumor and it's suposed to come out in quarter 3 or 4 of 2006???

We love the Xbox Live Marketplace and Xbox Live Arcade and have lots of cool ideas how we can leverage them but not until the game is finished and we don't realistically know when that will be at this point in time. I can tell you however that the game is incredible and there will be lots of cool stuff in it that you didn't expect to see. Sorry for the tease.
