Halo 44% complete, to launch with PS3, and production to be taken over by MS (?)

Here is a post I copied form Kotaku. It was supposedly posted by a friend of an insider in Bungie (yea I know). Skeptic? me too. i'm excited about the early launch but not about the MS meddling. We all know what it did to Halo 2.

for your pleasure:

-You will see solid information/Screenshots on Halo 3 By the end of November.
-Microsoft is getting impatient with Bungies wanting this to be the Pinnacle of the Series, and is considering doing what they did with Halo 2. I.E invading Bungie Studios and taking over development again.
-The graphics, are quote "Disgusting". As in "amazing". Master Chiefs Suit has not changed much, but the Elites will be more wicked than ever before.
-Bungie is still considering adding Halo 1 playable VIA Xbox Live on Xbox 360 as a Bonus with Halo 3.

1. This is the best I could squeeze out of my tight lipped Insider.
2. Feel free to flame, but just know I was as Skeptical as you are.
3. My Source is an actual Bungie Employee but not in the programming department.
4. He gave me the information on Halo 2 way before it was released. I posted over 2 years ago on the Halo board some of the features that would be included in Halo 2. And also was lucky enough to recieve, and keep (yup I sitll got it) the Beta version of Halo 2.

This is I suppose, little tidbits of info that Bungie Refuses to Publicly say. Even though it doesnt say much.
I am a little worried the game is being rushed too much, but Microsoft is insisting this game be 100% ready for PS3 Launch.
And they want a full public demo of the final game code ready by E3. Yikes.
I'm going to talk to him again tonight, and if people are interested. I can post some more things on Halo 3 that I can get out of him.

Take it with a grain of salt. I will not delete this, as we tend to live off of rumors for while until the game(s) come out.

Halo 1 on XBL... well, I guess so, but you can do that already of XBConnect. And since when did "disgusting" mean "amazing"? Maybe sick or ill, but disgusting? I fugured that they would announce the work on Halo 3 around the launch of the 360, seems logical that they would want to say something along those lines to generate more interest in the console.

I guess we'll see, though.

yeah im glad halo 3 wasn't a release game. i want this game to be 100% worth the 60 bucks that im going to blow on it. They way i see it, the longer it takes them to make it, the better the graphics and gameplay will be

I believe Bungie has already officially confirmed that Halo CE will never be on XBL. Other than that, good stuff.

i don't think MGS should take over at all....Bungie is doing fine and needs to take their time with that game! and having a playable version ready by E3?! that is absolutely WAY to soon!

u said it, they need to take time to get this done the way it should be. I would hate to see them push to get it done just to make a certain date(but i dont think they will after seeing Halo2 delayed time and time again)

Yeah, I've said it in 500 billion posts before and I'll say it again. Unless Halo 3 is coming out no sooner then christmas 2006 at the VERY EARLIEST I'm not getting it.

Disgusting has actually meant that for a long time, with hardcore Halo players.

if m$ takes over halo 3 production i won't buy it. halo 2 was the biggest let down that i've played. it was fun for like 2 months on live then everybody started cheating and cussing each other out and acting like complete dilholes so i stopped playing it. compared to halo 1, halo 2 was sorta crap. the story sucked the multiplayer didn't have as long of a fun factor that CE had and other reasons. so i hope they let bungie keep control of this otherwise some people are probly gonna be more dissapointed with halo 3 than we were with halo 2. that's how i see it

Yea, I totally agree with Rubiks14. Halo 2 did seriously put a damper on me after all of the anticipation that had grown inside of me. Like the ending was just HORRIBLE. Anyways before I get too off-topic, let me just say Halo 3 needs at least another years work on it before any kinda media is exposed to the public for it. May seem too long but GOW will hold us all over till the time comes.

its called a cliffhanger, MGS isn't taking over and they have been probably this much in this game since after Halo 1. If you didn't know they have been working on Halo 3 at the same time they've been making Halo 2 so 44% thats a stupid rumor from a guy that doesn't even work in development to say. You never know they could held alot of things back in Halo 2 so they could add it all in Halo 3. If Halo 2 was a dissapointment for you thats just because you let everyone around you get you hyped about rumors and lies and when you had your hands on the game you were pissed that it didn't live up to your every little stupid thought.

Yah but you can't blam M$ for kids on xbox live for cheating and swearing. Its not like it says in the manual to tell other people to **** off if your losing
