Ghost Recon:AW or COD2

Hey, I am trying to decide which XBox360 game would be better to get at launch time. I am already getting Quake 4 and NFSMW with my XBOX360 bundle and am looking to get 2 more games. I would rather not have 3 FPS games. I am looking for a game that would be great to also play on line. I was in a clan that played Medal of Honor Allied Assualt on the pc and that cool until the maturity level of some of the members ruined it. I currently have

Halo - XBOX
Halo2 - XBOX
Brothers in Arms - XBOX :
Star Wars Battle Front - XBOX
Star Wars Republic Commandos - XBOX
Unreal Championship\ UC2 - XBOX
Far Cry - PC :
BFV - PC :
MOH: Allied Assualt - PC
MOH: Spear Head - PC
MOH: Breakthrough - PC
MOH: Pacific Assualt - PC :
UT2004 - PC

but have only played the pc games online and the only one that I liked was MOHAA and I heard that COD is even better. If someone has a feel for how previous Ghost Recon and COD games were on line I would appreciate it.

it depeneds on if you prefer more modern shooters or wwII ones. i personaly like ghost recon but i am going to be getting both at launch cause the ghost games and cod are really good games in my opinion

I wasn't all that impressed with CoD on the Xbox, it was a solid enough game but nothing impressive and certainly not as good as Brothers in Arms (imo). I'm a big Recon fan, it's the one game you'll find me on most nights, so I'd go with GR: AW out of those two

get Recon hands down...COD2 dose not even have ragdoll effects....it just another example of a current gen being ported over with a few visual effects added...but the engine is the same

actually it does have ragdoll effects. and is a freakin sweet lookin game. i downloaded the demo on my computer and it is awesome even though my pc sucks. the amount of detail is amazing. I think this will definatley be better than gr.

Both games are shaping to be amazing, but they have different approaches.
COD2 uses WWII weapons and environment, should be way more violent and realistic while Ghost Recon 3 is going for futuristic soldiers, they should be stronger than humans, they should also use futuristic weapons and city focused missions.

I will surely play both games and give my veredict after that.

I love both types of games, so im plannig to get both but CoD2 is more like a run n gun point of veiw because its in a war ground and I have played Cod on it xbox live and it wasnt that that great but CoD2 looks way better and belive it will play better and if you want to try it, the PC demo is out. On the other hand GR:AW is more tactical shoot, more squad base and you do rely on your frends. you cant realy run-n-gun because people love to camp. But later in the futer there will be more first person shooters for the xbox360, just look at the design of the control. Its made for FPS.

The last Coop Shooter I've played was Republic Commando and it Rocked my world. The problem is that I found it very short, that's maybe why it was generally underrated.

I didnt like repunlic commando online. But the single player was great.

Call of Duty 2 hands down...

Its game play feautures i think is great, it has a better (or schould i say 3) story lines then GR:AW, the AI engine (which takes up a full cell) will be just as smart as you or me, and will learn our moves and tactics forcing us to evole or die.....

The graphics on GR are better ,but i want to fight the Most infamous war of all time not so la de da future war fight scenario game...

GR:AW= 8
CoD2=9

What I will end up doing looks like going to the video store and renting them to see which one is better. And then get one, the other or both. Thanks for the feed back.

I started the thread about 8 weeks before the XBOX360 launch and when GR:AW got delayed the discussion was pointless but now that GR:AW is less than 4 weeks away dont you think that people are going to start talking about if they should get COD2 or GR:AW? What is the understood rule #1 before posting a new thread? 'Make sure there is not another thread already covering you question or comment.' It is also in the forum rules for this board

So all paymon and NVR20 did was give their opinion on what game is better. I am sure we are going to get more COD2 or GR:AW threads before March 7 but at least these guys made an effort to be polite and not start a new thread. i'm gonna have both, but i would say graw. because it will have had the actual final hardware to be developed on so it will likely be better

Both games are in the military genre but they are completely different games. COD2 is a great WWII era game, probably the best ive ever played and GR will be more hi-tech warfare like todays military. It would be hard to compare the games fairly so I would say get both LOL.
