save video from pc to xbox360

guys i was wondering if someone can help me on the way to save few videos in my xbox 360's hard drive........i tried from the xp connect thing from microsoft but it only plays musics and show pics

You can't save video to the HDD.

You can only stream music and pictures that way.

yea i had the same problem, but if you have a USB storage device, you can save videos to that and then play them on your 360 i think, i havent tried that yet

but it does recognize the drive

no you cant. the only way to get video on your xbox is marketplace download or windows media center. and with wmc you cant save it on your hdd you can only stream it.

hey i just got a 4gb flash usb stick so i can not download hdtv shows or movies put it on the stick and watch it on my 360?

thats stupid, i bought this machine and i should be able to stream videos whether i bought another one of ms's 2000$ media center computers or not. I cant wait till they hack this machine and let us do w/e the hell we want with it.

Yeah you should be able to. You'll only be able to stream it. You downloading. Just like with plugging your mp3 player to the 360. You can only stream the music. No downloading to the hd.

you cant even stream it unless you either have mce 05 or the media version of vista. (i think)

something is up with mine, i put my mp3 player into the usb port and got nothing, and i dont have media center, but when i try to use the media connect it never finds the 360. it says to make sure its turned on and connected to my network which it is. nothing wants to work.

i hate this coz its not that other versions of windows cant do this its just that if u want videos u have to buy a mce pc

And yes this is legal so dont ban me for it but they have one for the xbox a media player so one for the 360 should be out soon.

by the way that xbox 1 xploder cd will work on your 360 so you can play your vids and music of a cd or usb drive. Youll also have a region free DVD Player as well which will make the 360 region free.

I would assume this means you can't take a USB cable from your PC to the rear USB port as well?

i was hoping to do the same first day but then all my hopes were destroyed so i borrowed

wmc form the net..? and now i stream my movies i would love to be able to put them on to it directly cos it would mean i could put all my movies on it and take it with me when i go my mates / girlfriends place.... has any one opend up the hdd casing yet? i wonder what type of hdd is in it....
