Posts: 8 | I'm hoping that this will be one of the best selling 360 games. Bethsoft put a lot of work into this title, and they should get some recognition. The main forums for The Elder Scrolls are, www.theelderscrolls.com (There is a lot of information available there, about both Oblivion, and the previous games in the series.)

Posts: 722 | Apparantly Linda Carter (wonder Woman) will be doing some voice acting for Oblivion.
From Xbox365.. Quote:
Lynda Carter Joins the Voice Cast of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Bethesda Game Studios announced today that actress Lynda Carter will lend her voice talents to the award-winning videogame, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Developed for both the Xbox 360 videogame and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PC platforms, Oblivion is one of the year’s most highly-anticipated games and sequel to the best-selling role playing game of 2002, Morrowind.
Already receiving accolades in the games industry, Oblivion was recently voted “RPG of Show” by the Best of E3 Game Critics Awards, and Xbox.com called the game “one of the best-looking games ever seen.” Created by Bethesda Softworks, Oblivion will launch this holiday season. Lynda Carter will join an all-star cast of Hollywood actors to give voice to the Nordic race in Oblivion. Carter is a veteran in The Elder Scrolls series, having previously voiced a character in the highly successful Morrowind, which sold more than 4 million units.
“Working on Morrowind was a wonderful experience,” said Carter. “It was my first foray into videogames, and it was great fun to be part of a groundbreaking title that brought millions of gamers to explore the endless world. I am honored to come back and participate in the making of Oblivion which represents another major step forward in the evolution of videogames.”

Posts: 203 | didn't microsoft say that every game will feature some sort of online capability? how would that fit in according to this game.. and i personally undecided about this game, i always prefer games that are able to compete online.. halo 2 was a winner for me mostly only because of online play and single player co-op, two features not avaliable in oblivion?
a game worth gettin within top 3.. i dont think so.. |

Posts: 203 | no it will DEFFINETELY NOT be the top selling launch game or even within the first 2 months.. first off, only 1 player compatibility, and second no online mulitplayer option.. the top reason users buy the xbox.. playing offline with friends and playing online with people.. |

Posts: 64 | Oblivion is gonna be HUGE, both in terms of size of game, and it's following.
I have pre-ordered and will be collecting on 2nd December (U.K. release date) with PGR3, DOA4 and Kameo. (Diverse range of games I know)
I have been looking forward to this game since I heard it was announced for 360.
CANNOT WAIT !!

Posts: 37 | If Oblivion was multiplayer, developers would have to cut back on all the great things that make the series what it is ,and besides the game isn't about running around and seeing how many other players you can kill

Posts: 137 | yup I agree, The game is huge, 16 square miles, which is much bigger than morrowind, as well as 50 thousand lines of speech, and wen u factor in the graphics, it would b much worse if they went for online play, i do however think they should build a sort of online community, like a world(oblivion) wer players from all over the world can go , and buy and sell land and homes, of course, it would have to b contained in a server owned by bethesda, and run through the oblivion game disc, but if they couldmake sumething like that, it would b awesome |

Posts: 37 | Thats a great idea but have the same with items ,think of all the weapons and armour that you can't use well and then begin able to trade them with someone who can use them or selling them for tonnes o gold and buy a house for all those cool but useless artifacts to be stored
