Posts: 502 | all about the HDTV, I love my old 32 Inch Sony Trinitron flatscreen dont get me wrong, but as cool as I thought it was my 42" Panasonic Plasma destroys it. Even for regular tv, and wait till you hook up your old Xbox to it running 480p. Then when you get your 360 you'll enjoy it that much more. But like others said if you get the HDTV you can get it now and enjoy it till you get your 360.
your choice though all we can do is throw you our opinions lol I was gonna wait on my HDTV till November but I'm SOOOOOOO glad I snagged it 3 weeks ago on sale instead. |

I'm not the one going around "telling" people that they must buy a huge HDTV otherwise it's a waste of money. What reason was there to listen to? None. I was the one who gave the reason why I don't need a huge HDTV.
Get off your high horse, quit your flapping, and get over it.
Oh, and why come out to Brooklyn? |

Posts: 123 | The fact is, playing games on a huge TV actually makes it harder to play them because you can't take it all in. Tests have been done with groups of people playing against each other - one group with a modest 23" screen, and the other with a whopping great 42" plasma stuck in front of their face.
The results? The team who played using the 23" LCD consistently beat the other team, even when they swapped over.
Games are not like movies, and don't benefit in the same way from a huge screen. It's all relative to where you sit though, and at the end of they day, it's personal choice. |

h | Cheap?! I could have a 50"+ 1080p capable HDTV if I wanted. Money is not an issue in that price bracket. However, why waste cash on a larger screen that will only serve to spoil the experience?
I do my research and buy the best, most appropriate kit for the appropriate purpose, regardless of price. Clearly you are driven by money, and that's fine. I'm not. |

What I want, and have just ordered, is the Samsung LE26R51BD - a 26" HD Ready LCD, which is absolutely perfect for my size of gaming room and the distance I sit from it.
Unlike some others on here, I don't feel I have to buy a huge HDTV just to boast to my mates about it. I buy things that are right for the job, and in my case, a 50"+ plasma 3 feet from my face is clearly not... |
