Anyone know what GameStop is paying out on an Xbox 360 premium system?? I've only had my system just over a month. Mine just broke, and to be honest I just want my money back. I have this feeling I'm about to embark on the biggest journey of aggravation in my life and really don't want to deal with it. I keep reading horror stories of the condition of the product that is sent back. I am extremely anal about my electronics... to the point of obsessive compulsive; sending out my immaculately maintained baby is really bothersome. So when my "refurbished" system comes back I just want to get it off my hands and get my money back.
Ok, don't quote me on this but I think it'd be like $199 resale to them. Considering they turn around and sell refurbished systems for $279.99 and you know they have to make a profit in the long run, I'd guess around $199-220. I'd call and ask them to be possitve.

where did you buy it from? eb offered an instore warranty, where you can return it for a new one, no questions asked, for up to a year long! only $50 CDN.

THANX DRAGONUK FOR THE SIGGY!
Wow, that is the most economically silly thing I have heard in a while, just over the ''refurbished'' system, which it is unlikely to be anyway. If your console is broken, the company you are speaking of is very unlikely to take it in, even if it is still under warranty.
dude, just do what I did, u don't have to send your system in to microsoft to get it fixed, just say that microsoft told u to just take it back and get a new one right there, no waiting or anything. it's a lot faster, no worries, and I was playing my new one right when I got home, it's no big deal, and my new one works great without any problems.
also what I am thinking about doing, is when they make the newer 360's with less heat and all that, hopefully with a HD DVD drive in it, I'll take this 360 back and get that new one, and pay another $40 for the extended 1 year warranty

Will they take it back even though it's beyond the 30 day return policy though??
This is why you buy the store warranty when you purchase something this expensive. I have the 2 year Best Buy warranty on my 360.
Check that Best Buy warranty, I didn't think they replaced, but had it fixed for you by a certified MS rep. I know for certain the Gamestop/EB Games 1 year warranty is "no questions asked" unless you tell them you did intentional damage.
I know what you mean... I had two broken 360s in two days, but I got them at Costco. They replaced them immediately and they give you a lifetime warranty on electronics. I would suggest buying from there.
Right now I'm on my 3rd 360. If this one breaks I'm taking it back to Costco and getting a PS3.
