xBox 360 Price?

Hello everyone,
Does anyone know how much an xBox 360 is going to cost? I hope less than $500, caus im currently broke.

I was hoping 4 a price more like $299 and a british price of about £250

maybe thats wishful thinking but they have the market at the mo and i think a price like this would work well. They dont want to over price like they did with the first xbox (£300+) they lowered it 2-3 time in the first month. They need the quick sales to compete and push the PS3. I dont think the loss will bother mister gates to much and with the exclusion of HD-DVD i dont think the price of manufacture will be as great as the PS3. IMO

for me here in kansas (U.S.) they have made it final:$300. So, like i said, you can reserve it for $50 then it will cost $250. you can also reserve games here which cost a total of only $60

but every console you lose money so i'd price ps3 between $399 and $459

if m$ wants to take a reasonable $70 loss on each console, $299 is your price.

that's very reasonable considering the original xbox lost $115 for each console sold.

i agree with the price, and black would be cool as a limited edition or something like that (halo xbox ring a bell?) but i don't see why they would do more than that with the faceplates option.

maybe they'll include free faceplates with the console...

Man, imagine selling a product at a $70 loss everytime, then look back after 10 million units are sold in a year and think, "I just lost $700 million dollars." Crazy.

J. Allard said the unit would sell in the $300 dollar range, I can provide a link if necessary. It may cost a bit more in the beginning (as the first Xbox was $500 for the bundle pack), but I expect a small decrease in price come this time next year to compete against Sony.

I hope that they only have one version of the 360. I still hear rumors that they will release 2 versions, on with a HDD and one without.
If they do sell 2 versions, I hope the one with the HDD id around 350...
