Default Interview with GUN developer Randall Jahnson

This looks to be a very interesting game for the 360.
Quote:
August 22, 2005 - Heading into this next generation of games, one of the things gamers have clamored for above many other elements is a well-written story. While discerning for years, gameplayers have yearned for more believable stories, more dramatic narratives, and imaginative tales that aren't entirely based on bathroom humor, or that ended up with a kiss from prudish princess. PC games have for some time done the trick, but the PC still gets its fair share of merde. This current generation of console games have, in part, addressed the issue, but publishers are taking the initiative more seriously and they want this next generation of games to shine like they have never before.

Neversoft's Gun is a Western action shooter created with an in-depth story written by a master movie story-teller, a writer who's penned stories for both movies and TV, but who's relatively new to games. We spoke with Randall Jahnson (Sunset Strip, Mask of Zorro, the Doors, Dude) about his experience writing Gun. He took our simple, innocent questions, and answered them like his life depended on it. He answered questions on the differences between writing for games and movies with more clarity than any other writer we've spoken with; what characteristics he gleaned from movie writing; the reality of the Old West; his love for Western stories; life-and-death situations; what it was like to work with Neversoft, and much and more.
