Dead Rising help - medicine run case

Hi,

I seem to be stuck on the case missions in Dead Rising, can anybody help please?

I cant remember the case number, but its the one when you have to get the medicine back to brad, who is injured in the security room. I have got the medicine and have got back to brad fine, i give the medicine to the lady and then it a says the case is completed.

This is when the problem starts: As soon as i hand the medicine over it then says the next case is at 11am. But as soon as this message has gone another appears saying that all other cases have been lost / failed and thus i will "never discover the truth".

I cant work out what i have done wrong, but i am wondering if it has something to do with the lady in the supermarket when getting the medicine? Do i have to find her first or is it something else?

I havent got very far into the game, so please dont give too much away - just enough to get me going again....

This happened to me too, you probably ran out of time just try to redo the mission over but go faster,try to use the maintence tunnels

Ok,

That crossed my mind that i might have to start over, but didnt just in case it was something stupid i was missing!

Its not too bad starting again i suppose as the game is great!

Me too, you'll have to start over I'm afraid. That's the only problem with DR the time restraints suck! Some of the missions you only have to reach a certain spot before time runs out but others like the medicine run require you to get to the supermarket, kill the boss, get the medicine and get back to Brad before time runs out. I just wish it would give you some kind of indication of what's expected of you before you start the mission.

Well, i have learned a "hard lesson" now - it was all my fault!

I replayed the game 3 times and still failed the medice run mission! All because i didnt keep and eye on the time and was too busy trying to rescue people....But its ok now as i have got past the medicine run mission!

I have got to say it though, athough i had to start over quite a few times i didnt get bored / get fed up with doing it again - its a really fun game to play!

If you want to unlock overtime mode, make sure you speak with Isabella at 10am on the 22nd (think that's right). I didn't and got ending C and I have to play the game all the way through again to unlock it. I'll be honest though I can't be bothered, it's been sat on my desk now for a couple of weeks. I just wish that Capcom hadn't put the time restrictions in, it sort of ruins the game. Don't get me wrong I loved "playing" it but after having to start it 4 times from the begining to eventually get it right, I'm pretty bored with it now. I've put it to one side but I'm sure I'll come back to it eventually. Does anybody know a way of opening overtime mode without playing the game all over again.
