YOU TUBE LINKS INCLUDED FOR SKULL LOCATIONS

Skull & Terminal info comes from halo3planet
Halo 3 Skull Locations
Videos i found off youtube.
I have just put their info together in the order you will find them in the game:

Important:
* All Skulls must be found by setting the game to Normal difficulty setting or higher, & you must begin from the start of the level to find them.
* You get achievements for completing the game on Normal, Heroic & Legendary. If you complete the game first on legendary you get the achievements for the lower difficulty settings as well.

LEVEL 1: Sierra117 [20]
  • Blind Skull [0]- Effect: You lose your HUD when this skull is turned on. You won’t see your weapons, shield, radar, etc.
Found at the beginning of the mission after your first encounter with the Gold Armor Brute. Two enemy drop ships will appear a bit further down the stream. Go towards the drop ships, & stay on the right side of the stream. Continue along the right (towards the cliff edge), to a rock hanging over the large lake. The Skull is located at the end of this rock. (Press RB to pick up)
(Note: Silver Skull: No achievement for this skull).
Blind Skull
  • Fear the Pink Mist - Achievement (5) - Killed 5 enemies with the needler.
Shortly after picking up the Blind Scull, be on the lookout for the pink needler weapon. There is a gun stand with it that you will easily find. Just simply use it to kill 5 enemies to unlock the achievement.

  • Used Car Salesman [5] - Destroy a vehicle that has three enemies in it.
Near the end of the level, right after you lower the shield where the Sargent is being held. The first big ship (Phantom) starts attacking you & the marines, shoot the gun under it with several rounds to destroy it. Dont worry if you miss it. There are more Phantoms further on in the game.

  • Iron Skull [10] - Effect: If you die, you restart from the beginning of the level.
Before you board the ship, located behind the building where Sgt. Johnson is being held captive, up on the roof. You can gain access to the roof on the far right side of the building. Travel all the way over to the left side of the roof, & the Skull will be concealed in the corner.
Iron Skull

LEVEL 2: CROW'S NEST [20]
  • Black Eye Skull [10] - Effect: When you lose shield, the only way to get it back it to melee an enemy.
Found at the beginning of the level, the very room you start in. Hanging down from the ceiling is some piping. On top of this piping, on the side nearest to the large display (the one that Hood appears on) lies the Skull.
YouTube - Hold X to Trick - Halo 3 Black Eye Skull
  • Grunt Birthday Party Skull [0] - Effect: When you get a head shot on an enemy Grunt, they will explode into confetti, & you’ll hear children cheer, “Yay!” in excitement.
It can be found in a piping area where you see Drones buzzing in & out of an array of pipes. Just before you jump down the pipe to meet up with the Arbiter, stop at the ledge, & look directly below you. Along the wall that you drop down, there is a small ledge with a green arrow pointing backwards. Carefully fall down onto this ledge below.
(Note: Silver Skull: No achievement for this skull).
Grunt Birthday Party Skull

LEVEL 3: TSAVO HIGHWAY [20]
  • Tough Luck Skull [10] - Effect: Your enemies never back down, always make their saving throws, & always charge you.
Found at the point in the level when the huge covenant cruiser flies overhead. On your left is some large piping following the road you are walking on. Underneath this piping are some support beams that extend out over a cliff. Jump onto the first of these beams, & travel to the end of it. Look to your left, & the Tough Luck Skull will be sitting on a rock extending from a cliff edge.
Tough Luck Skull
  • We're in for some Chop [5] - Destroy an enemy vehicle with equipment.
Get to the section where the pelican support drop you off some more Warthogs. On the left is a bunker with a turret. There are three Trip Mines on the floor behind it. Pick one up.
Keep moving & you will come across 4 choppers. You need to shoot one of the choppers until it is almost destroyed. Then plant the Trip Mine & get the chopper to run over it. It should blow up if you have shot it enough before it goes over the mine. (Suicide & try again till succesful)
* If you are having trouble return here later. Set the difficulty to Easy & start from rally point A on Tsavo Highway.

LEVEL 4: THE STORM [30]
  • Catch Skull [10] - Effect: Your Enemies throw LOTS of grenades.
Found in the first area where you need to destroy the Wraith Tanks. When you enter this area, do not eliminate the Wraith Tanks (The skull appears when the tanks appear, & disappears when the tanks are destroyed). The Skull is located on top of the circular building next to the Anti-Air Tank. You can access the roof by jumping on the back of a hog, jumping on yur co-op partner or using a grenade jump.

Catch Skull

LEVEL 5: FLOODGATE [30]
  • Fog Skull [10] - Effect: You lose your motion sensor.
Found at the very beginning of the level. As you are walking down from the anti-air gun you destroyed in the previous mission, you encounter a ramp (next to a missile launcher). Around this ramp, you hit a checkpoint. At this point, you should also hear a marine yelling, “There! Over There!”.
You have a small window of opportunity at this point, but it is fairly easy to get the Fog Skull. Look up, & to the right, directly at the roof of the building next to the missile launcher. There is a single flood form (not to be mistaken with the two other flood forms jumping in front of you) which is holding the skull. Kill him before he jumps, & he will drop the skull down to the ground where you can retrieve it. Too early, & the skull will get stuck on the roof though, so just time it carefully.
The Fog Skull

LEVEL 6: THE ARK [30]
  • Head shot Honcho [5] - Kill 10 enemies with headshots
You start the level with a sniper rifle. This is a great opportunity to zoom in nice & close & take off some heads.
  • Terminal 1
The first terminal is found close to the start of the level. The first time you walk inside a building you will see a door almost immediately on the left. Simply enter this area of the level to find the first of the seven terminals.
Note: Hold RB down to activate. You must stay in the terminal until it is finished doing its stuff otherwise it will not be counted as activated. Keep pressing A. It takes about 1 minute before it stops.

  • Famine Skull [10]- Effect: Enemies drop 50% of the ammo they usually drop.
Found near the point where the path you follow branches off into two sections (one leading to the area where you need to let the tanks across the bridge, & the other leading towards the area where you meet up with the frigate). Take the right path, as you would if you were completing the mission, & you’ll notice a structure above you / to the left of you (near the area where you encounter a few ghosts).
You need to scale the rocks to the right of the structure, & then travel across it so that you pass 3 of the large support beams extending into the cliffs. Inside of the fourth support beam, lies the Famine Skull. A well placed grenade should have you up there in no time!
Famine Skull
  • Terminal 2
When you go inside the structure to let the tanks across the bridge of light, there will be a Terminal almost directly behind the controls for the bridge.

  • Terminal 3
After defeating the scarab, look in the middle of the desert area which you battled it in for a fairly small structure (it’s the building you see if you are at the bottom of the ramp you are supposed to go up). Inside of this structure are several Gravity Lifts. Pick them up to help get the Cowbell Skull later.
Next, head up the huge ramp, & head inside of the building (the one with the cartographer inside). There will be a room with several sleeping grunts. Nearly directly following this room is another room in which you can take two different directions. There is a door, & a staircase (both eventually lead to the next room).
Underneath the staircase is an additional door that leads to the 3rd terminal.

  • Cowbell Skull [0] - Effect: Explosions become much bigger in the game.
Almost straight after you have found Terminal 3 you come to a room with a whole lot of Explosive crates. Right after this room is a Staircase that leads to the level below. The Skull is located at the top of the room, at the point where you turn on the staircase to head for the next part of the slope. There are four platforms above you, the Skull is on the uppermost of these platforms. Use the Gravity Lift to jump you up to it. It is rather tricky trying to get on that platform but keep trying.
(Note: Silver Skull: No achievement for this skull).
The Cowbell Skull

LEVEL 7: THE COVENANT [40]
  • Too Close to the Sun [5] - Destroy a Banshee with the Spartan Laser or missile pod.
You start the level with the Spartan Laser. Do not use it yet but keep it for later. Soon after you will get a supply of Warthogs dropped off for you. Dont get in them just yet but continue walking past them for about 50 meter. You will see the banshee's up in the air very close to you going very slow. You should easily be able to destroy one with the Spartan Laser.
  • Terminal 4
When you get to the first Elevator leading to the tower controls, jump from the elevator platform to the platform on the opposite side from where you accessed the elevator from. The terminal is dead ahead.

  • Thunderstorm Skull [10] - Effect: All enemies are given a field promotion, & ranked up to their next available level.
Can be found after you take comm& of one of the Hornet vehicles. Fly towards the second force field generator (the one the Arbiter disabled), & l&. (A voice will remind you that Tower 2 is already clear, just to confirm you are at the right place). The skull is waiting at the very top, at the end of the ramp extending over the sea.
Thunderstorm Skull
  • Terminal 5
Before flying off from tower 2 . Walk inside tower 2. The Terminal is just inside the structure.

  • Terminal 6
Go to the 3rd Tower. Terminal 6 is identical to Terminal 4. At the elevator jump to the platform.

  • IWHBYD Skull [0] - Effect: Unlocks hidden dialogue throughout Halo 3’s campaign.
After defeating the Scarabs you will get to a location with 7 Ring Holograms. Kill everyone first & before you jump down the hole to finish/exit the level you must jump through the rings in a specific order. That order is as follows (1 is at the entrance/exit, 7 is at the end): 4 6 5 4 5 3 4.
(As you jump through, the rings play the halo tune notes E G F# E F# D E)
** Make sure you finish the level to keep this skull **
(Note: Silver Skull: No achievement for this skull).
IWHBYD Skull

LEVEL 8: CORTANA [40]
  • Tilt Skull [10] - Effect: Makes enemy resistance much greater.
Can be found in the circular room where Cortana mentions that she “Likes to play games too…”.
It’s a bit difficult to get to, as it requires getting on top of the ceiling of the room. Upon entering the room, head towards the left side where you will see some mushroom shaped extrusions along the wall. Get on top of these, & then look up & towards the right for another set of extrusions. Jump to these. From here, you should be able to jump on top of the ceiling of the room, where the Tilt Skull lies in the center.
Tilt Skull

LEVEL 9: HALO [50]
  • Mythic Skull [10] - Effect: All enemies have double their usual health.
It is located in the very beginning of the final level. Begin by heading into the canyon, but hug the right wall. Very soon, you will notice that there is a turn to the right that is off the normal trail. Head a bit down this path, & it will be sitting there.
Mythic Skull
  • Terminal 7
Continue on & very shortly after you will encounter the area with a few structural beams going from one wall into another. At this point, turn right, & look for beam separate from the rest.

Follow this beam into a doorway. Cortana will ask you, “Where are you going?”. Turn left once inside, & the Terminal should be in view. You should now get the 'Marathon Man [40]' achievement.

  • META-GAMES
Now play the Campaign META-GAMES. Turn on the sculls Tough Luck, Catch, Fog & Famine.
Play through the game on 'normal'. 15000 should be fairly easy with the skull multipliers.

Now you should have 36 of 49 Achievements for a total of 900 Achievement Points.

Wow, that's the best Halo 3 thread I've ever seen. You'll certainly be getting sexy time tonight!

Screw those other threads that only give you half the info. Pfft.

I LOVE YOU SHANE.

All I found useful in there was the trip mine thing. As I said earlier, its much easier just to go to google. Somewhere in that guide of yours ,shane, you should put that you need to finish the whole level for the terminals to count for the achievement.

lol good one.

And i can see from the snot-nosed attitude of some members that i dont need to post a thread thats helpfull.

Of course it was mainly stating obvious and stuff u can get on other forums, but the more info that is on this forum the more activity it has, and as for 'i can just google it' fair play to you knobs, what ur doing there is going to other forums with guides and giving them traffic. so next time you ****s are sitting on your high horse try think about a post u made that wasnt complete tripe.

I found it off of a forum? I had no idea that an article, or guide, was a forum thread. The guide I am talking about sounds alot like this one you made. Wierd, huh.Well at least this one is organized, put together on one page. Sorry that my post sounded a little rude, but now that I see it, its kind of what you deserve. I'm just surprised you haven't gotten completely banned.

I will say that it's a well made guide (regardless of who made it) and I prefer a Shane that's kind of helpful instead of just being a D*** to everyone.
