how much longer would you want halo3 to be? it's a pretty good length for the type of game it is. i know i couldn't play it for much longer then how long i played it when i went through on heroic. a short game length is probably found to encourage more online play too. just a theory.
I agree that game designers probably are not making the game as long to encourage online play, or because they are devoting more of the games resources to developing online gameplay. I suppose that would not bother me so much if I played online, but I realize that many people do. In my opinion it is the online play that eats away the time like no other, Counter Strike (on PC) devoured too much time for me to go online anymore.
I bought COD2 to try out the COD hype, I got it for like $12.00 So far I am loving this game!
