Halo 3 game length

I just beat Halo 3 first time through on legendary setting. I Did not find it nearly as difficult as some reviews have proclaimed. In fact, I was disappointed by the length of this game. I do not want to give the impression that I did not enjoy the game because I had a great time playing it. But my criticism is this: there was way too many cinematic scenes and not enough game play. I wish the designers would have spent more of their time extending the length of the game and less time with the cinematic scenes, if I wanted to watch a movie I would.

My question is this: can anyone recommend an XBOX 360 FPS game that is good, and has a campaign mode longer than Halo 3 and GOW (another game I enjoyed but thought was too short). Does COD 4 or 2 fit this criteria? what bout Bioshock ( I know it is not a FPS)?

Bioshock is an FPS. Campaign length is comparable to H3. It's well worth your time to play it.

I like the cinematics.

COD4 and Bioshock are in your best interest.

cod4 is only supposed to be like 4-6 hours... thats pretty short like halo and gears

It all depends on how good you are and what difficulty you play on. plus the game is amazing and will pull you into playing it more than once.

Halo 3 and Gears are some of the longest FPS games out there. And if you thought legendary was easy, there is something wrong with you. Get a life, don't play video games for a week or two. Go play some Football. Then tell me if legendary is easy.

Jack, why do you even bother replying if you do not have anything meaningful to say? For your information Halo 3 is the second game I have played on XBOX 360, the first being Gears of War over 6 months ago. I beat the game in roughly 11 hours on legendary and that was spread out over one week. If GOW and Halo 3 are the longest FPS games out their I am truly dissapointed.

ya maybe on veteran....but on regular I beat that game in like two and a half hours....(non-hardcore), but none the less I love that game, totally love the online play (not playing with scot though, he kills me every time)

Part of ACT2 can really tick you off on hard b/c the AI on COD4 is really bad. If you snipe the guys, they keep coming back until you fight at point blank. But it is still a great game, exspecially online.

I Think Cod4 Is Unbeleavable....the Mission's Are Fun And The Graphics Are Unbeleavable....but The Downfall Is That It Is Short Also...the Designer's Worked They're Butt's Off Making The Game As Good Looking As It Is But I Think They Fell Short A Little Bit In Making It Lengthy...i Feel That Would Have Been The Best Game I Have Ever Played But It Was Too Short....still A Great Game To Get Anyways, I Would Say Get It....

EDIT: if you want a challenge play call of duty 2 on veteran... it'll blow your mind...

i think cod3 is a lot harder on veteran then cod2.

how much longer would you want halo3 to be? it's a pretty good length for the type of game it is. i know i couldn't play it for much longer then how long i played it when i went through on heroic. a short game length is probably found to encourage more online play too. just a theory.

I thought COD3 was a lot harder also. COD4 was just way too easy though, took me a day on Veteran getting all of the achievements besides Mile High and the Intel.
Halo 3 Legendary was a little short, but I thought it was fun, especially the campaign scoring, and doing online co-op was fun. Just make sure you don't give me a sniper or stickies or you might find yourself waiting to respawn half the game.
