Posts: 1,384 | Are you a HALO Fan? I'll be honest - I am not.
I have played both HALO and HALO 2, and they just didnt really do anything for me. Sure, I played them for a bit longer than I might play other games that don't interest me, but I have gotten much more into games like Riddick, PGR2, ATV v MX and a number of sports sims much more than either Halo game.
I guess this is because I really dont like FPS on consoles, and playing them over live doesnt interest me either because it is so much easier to play them online on PC as well. |

Posts: 452 | Im a major Halo fan, im going through the books right now (about 1/4 of the way through the second).
Halo 1 was the reason for me buying an Xbox, I played it long before I had my own and I fell in love with it.
Halo 2, being honest, when I first played it, I was dissappointed. As soon as I took it on Live though, I fell in love with it and I still love it to this day.

Posts: 1,879 | The very first day Xbox came out, my friend bought the $500 package deal. We put in a racing game, it was cool. Then we put in DOA3 and since that is not my style, I was about to leave when my friend said, "Lets see what Halo is like." He put it in, and that game was magic! I picked up a controller and we played all night, beat the game at 6am the next morning. Played it until Halo 2 came out.
Halo fan I am. My friend bought me an Xbox so I could play it whenever. In turn, I bought a friend an Xbox as well so he could play it. We helped spread the Halo disease here.
I nearly jumped ship with the PS3 E3 shenanigans (`cuz that Killzone 2 vid was... a lot). But, with the hype set in the lies, and because of Halo, I have pre-ordered my Xbox 360. Amazing that one game can instill that sort of loyalism, but it does. Sure, I like other games as well, but sincerely, its Halo. It had all the right components: great gameplay, great graphics, great storyline, great dialog- it's like Am/Pm; too much good stuff. But when will it be too much, is my next concern. |

Posts: 843 | i was done with video games (thanks to ps2) until i went to my bf tony's house one day. i stayed the night and didn't sleep a wink. all we did was play halo on legendary and explore. we drove the puma (warthog) out as far as we could into the water and had water-wars. i'd never had so much fun, the next day i traded in my ps2 and got my xbox with a bunch of games. i played halo religiously until the 2nd came out. i loved the gameplay, the storyline, and the graphics. i did everything you can do(i.e. skulls, that one gun, etc.) until i brought it on live.
now i sit with my 31 rank, beat up on people, and do superbounces, explore outside the levels, etc. with my friends.
ever been outside sanctuary and went down the waterfall/waterslides? i have, and i'll never forget it, lol.

Posts: 1,142 | I loved the original Halo's single-player mode. But because Halo 2 was so short (and because of that, dissapppointing), I wouldn't call myself a fan. But I will buy Halo 3.

Posts: 98 | tbh i think the game is an ultimate MUST HAVE sure you can live without it but how can anyone who doesn't own it say they have an x-box but don't have halo?
I have the game of course but unfortunatly i don't have live it is a very dissapointing game when it come's to single player but with x-box live atm it's the biggest and best game out there!

Posts: 161 | i would rather play halo 2 single player than play the online side of halo 2. I love fps games but the online side gets on my nerves with so many abusive people on it. I prefer games to be fun and have some friendly banter, but not people going round swearing at you all the time, puts me right off playing it. |

| Easy as to me it is just a overated game nothing less nothing more.
I bought a Xbox for a lot of games not halo 1 or 2.
The xbox can stand up with a host of other games and not just have halo to fall back on.
It like saying to bought a ps2 for Gran Turismo which is also a pants after GT 2.
Give me a or more real based shooter over halo any day. They may have bugs but which games don't?
Some people just think you buy a Xbox for halo which in many cases that may be true but in many caeses it is not. I find the multiplay as boring as the single play the Only good think i like about halo 2 is the macth making!
But each to their own as i think their are better games out their in my opinian!
