preorders for Halo3 @ FYE

Its funny I went to the mall on Thursday and I saw a sign in the window of the FYE (For your Entertainment) Store that said "Halo3 Reserve it today, available 2006". Was a 2006 released anounced yet?

But then I went back on Sunday and decided to check out the store and maybe get a photo of the sign and it was gone. weird.

any retailer can preorder anything they want.

I could(as a retailer) take preorders on an xbox 720. as long as it is understood that there is no definate release date yer, I can take as many as i want.

It does not matter if there is an anouncement yet.

To the thread author: no, Halo 3 has not even been confirmed as of yet, ergo, no launch date is known.

I wouldnt preorder halo 3 yet, use that money for something else like food. My guess is that it will be out in 2007. Until then nothing is confirmed, and there's no images of alpha or beta of the game. and no info if bungie will show anything at e3.
