Angry Call of Duty 3 problems...

Unfortunately i have a complaint: I was very excited about the release of cod3 because i am a fan of the series. I had it reserved and got it right after release for christmas. i popped it right in and it played up until the end of training and froze. it did the same thing repeatedly. then i tried multiplayer which similarly froze about 5 minutes in. i was thinking "hmm...must be the disk." so i go back and replace it at the store. same thing happens. by then i am ticked. i decide to try one more time. new disc, same scenario. so i finally called activision and they said it must be the console. then i call xbox customer support. i am put on hold for at least 15 min. before talking to a real person who turns out to be indian with an almost undistinguishable accent. she goes through all the steps of turning the power on and off, cleaning the disk, the hard drive and disc tray. all of this does nothing. so she puts me on hold to "consult the xbox experts". she comes back after 5 min. and tells me to go to the dashboard and go to the systems blade and memory section. then she tells me to push a series of buttons which do nothing. then i am put on hold again while she "consults the experts". by the way, everytime i say something, she says "thank you for that information, lauren" (just to give u an idea, she said that mabye 25 times...literally). after 5 min. of being on hold, we go through the exact same steps that again do nothing. we go through this process for exactly 1 hr and 14 min.. finally she says to contact my retailer, records the call, and hangs up. what a load of crap. it did NOTHING. i want to know if any of you guys know what could be the problem. it only does it for this game, not any others.

thanks xbox customer support

thanks for listening to me vent,
lg

damn I wish I knew how to help you. That really sucks.

I haven't had any problems and I have no idea how to fix this. Research on google and on other forums for Call of Duty 3, and maybe you'll find something.

OK
First thing, go to your memory and erase all data pertaining to COD3.
Try to play the game.

If this doesn't work, contact the retailer and exchange it.

Does it just do this with COD3 or does it do the same thing with other games? If doing it with other games proabaly faulty console. If not try clearing out the memory with COD3 info like Mik has said and give that a go.

I hate freaking indians. I mean, no offense at all to you but If you want to be a telphone operator do it for your own country. I think Microsoft can afford to pay some americans a little extra to have quality customer support. You know, MS moved to india right after Bill Gates left. We need you Bill!!!

Oh, and about the thread, erase CoD3 memory like they all said, and if that don't work it has to be the console.

If you want to know what it's like, read a review such as one found on this very site:
Planet Xbox 360 - Review - Call of Duty 3 Review

It does annoy me when companies outsource like that. They're driving our economy into the ground. I could go on about how our government is run by businesses and everything else, but I'll spare you all that speech.
And Bill Gates was probably planning on outsourcing. He just made the company wait until he was out of there to boost his public appeal.
