The Godfather. What's all the hate?

I read on several different sites (including this one) of folks downing The Godfather.

I picked the game up last night, played it for a couple of hours and had a blast with it.

The Game has a little of everything I like in games.

Shooting, fighting, driving,action, a pretty free environment and (so far) a pretty good story.

So what are your thoughts?

the problem lies in the fact that EA nickel and dimes you. If you want the best weapons in the game, you have to buy the KEYS to unlock them online. If you want to do all the missions in the game, you have to buy the KEYS to unlock them. Not download new levels, unlock levels already on you game. Its a sham.

Ive played the game the whole way through, and while its very repetitive, it is a fun game overall. I wish there were more than 5 cars in the game, and i wish EA had not ruined it with their money schemes.

HHhmm.. Didn't know that.
Maybe that will change that after getting such a beating on the stock market.

I wonder if their latest price reduction in a lot of their games is the first step in trying to better themselves.
