New COD3 Maps

Someone already beat me to the punch here and the story is on the front page. But I thought I would mention it anyway.

Major Nelsons blog had a post about it that was removed. When questioned he posted this ~

"Major Nelson said:

COD3 maps will be up tomorrow....I posted early on it and pulled it down until it goes up."

From the press release back in December it should be one free one and another 5 for 800 points. Not sure if they will all be out tomorrow, but Major Nelsons quote above does say "maps" as in more then one.

If you have not seen it already the free map is out, the others are rumored to be out next week.

Excellent news! Some of the maps were getting a little tired. Althoug Eder Dam will never get tired. I love playing War on that map.

FWIW, this new free map is 168MB so at least we know we are not getting something that was already on the disk. Assuming the other maps next week are the same, then at least I feel a little better putting out 800 points for them.

I did find it interesting that the TWO GOW maps were 99MB and just this ONE COD3 map was 168MB. I would have guessed it to be the other way around.

the cod maps are wayy larger in size what's the max player count in cod 24? in gears 8 so the maps would have to be a lot larger
