Crysis CONFIRMED on 360!

Yes, the rumours have finally come to something...THE PC game of 2007 is coming to 360.

It will be based on the DX9 version of the PC game but will still look comparable to that image above.

The biggest PC game of 2007 coming to the 360 is good news indeed.

Its going need a beast of a PC to play(1.5gb ram min or something! lol) so i hope the 360 can handle whatever version its getting of the game.And lets hope EA dont dum it down
And lets hope its better then FarCrys port to 360(farcry instincts) as it doesnt come close to the PC game.

It's supposed to be extremely modified compared to the PC version. It won't be a direct port or anything like that.

They have done this so people won't compair the two. The Xbox 360 cannot recreate Crysis anything like a PC so they will just use the game engine (CryEngine 2) in a similarly themed game.

For anyone that hasn't heard of the game before, it's basically FarCry 2.

Just to give you some info on Crysis. The recommended specs for it are:

CPU: Dual-core CPU (Athlon X2/Pentium D)
Graphics: Nvidia 7600 or ATI X1600 Pro (SM 3.0) or DX10 equivalent
RAM: 1.5GB+
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9.0c with Windows XP

So it's quite demanding. My PC is above all of them apart from the RAM (I have 1Gb) so I might have to turn down some of the eye candy but as long as it plays smoothly (just looking like FarCry on my machine, actually) and can have those amazing physics, I'll be happy.

I cannot wait for this game, i saw a few vids for the PC version, and i must say it looks A-M-ZING. I am glad it's coming to the 360 now my friend will shut up about Crysis is PC only

Hmmm... good news

However, one can only wonder how EA could screw this up for us?

I still feel like I should save up 2,000 for a new computer (I take donations!). I still want games like Supreme Commander and the option to have the PC Crysis if the console version is just plain sad.

If you keep away and dont look or play the PC version of Crysis then the 360 PORT(its what it is so shut up people, EA can call it something else if they want) will be a good game, if you play or see to much of the PC version on a decent PC then the 360 PORT wont be great.

actually they say the 360 cant do DX10. it does DX9c and some effects that DX10 can do. but u cant say its a complete upgrade (to) DX10.we all know that this generation of consoles is well equipped when it comes to CPU power. but i heard the the PS3 on the other hand is capable of doin DX10. but i don't see how that would work cuz the reason why the 360 isn't capable of doing DX10 (manly the memory requirements)the PS3 is in the same situation . both the PS3 and the 360 have the same amount of memory.. just the 360's memory is faster. and yet as we're told the 360 isn't capable of doin DX10 and the PS3 is? if any console could do DX10 it should be the 360 with the better memory, better shader pipeline architecture and even better graphics card.

The P$3 can't run DirectX even if it wanted to. DX is a set of API's developed by Microsoft for gaming and multimedia applications. $ony wishes the P$3 could run DirectX. Ha!

Scott, your saying you have a computer w/ that much horsepower, but only 1gig of ram?!?!??!? talk about a bottleneck. If ya got that much horsepower, ya need atleast 2-4gig of ddr2... ill trade ya 2 gigs for your mobo and vidcard

I'll see how it runs on my current rig (I have 900MHz DDR2) and if it is lacking in the RAM department, I'll upgrade it.

Hmmmm I wonder if EA is hiding something. Surely the developers would know what version games there making. Id say there will be a crysis but not for a while yet.
