Picked up Guitar Hero II and you know what.. It's fun as hell!

I wasn't sure I'd like this but I thought I'd take a break from shooters and racers. The songs on this game kick ass and jumping around acting like your a rock star is pretty hot.

How much did it run you? I've played it and you are right, it's fun. I just think it a little high priced.

I got it fot 90 bucks but it comes with the controller and when guitar hero III comes out than you can use the same controller. Plus its worth it.

I'm still not sure if I should shell out 90 bucks for it. I mean, I get 10 euros a week for allowance, plus i shell out at least 20 for lunch on wednesday. I'm planning to buy assassins creed and battlefield bad company soon. So i dont know if i'll have enough money to buy those 2 games later on. I am a big fan of rock btw.

You may be better off waiting a while if you haven't purchased it. I've heard GH III will ship with a wireless controller. Also, there are some competitive products in development that will let you play a variety of instruments, not just lead guitar.

I don't know...from what I've been reading, GH III is going to have a different button scheme so this first controller prolly won't work. I think it is supposed to work with Rock Band though.

It depends, when is guitar hero 3 coming out? If its unknown I proabably wont even bother waiting for it.

meant to be in the "fall" of this year, so closer to the end of the year, however probably next year realistically speaking after all the inevitable delays etc..

honestly, i got GH2 now, with the one guitar, and then i'll get gh3 with that package and have 2 guitars for multi player goodness. I know someone mentioned that the gh3 will have different buttons but i really doubt they will make the gh2 not compatible with the new game. If it isn't then well that sux, but at least i've enjoyed gh2 in the mean time.

Its a fun and addicting game, i'd say if you got the dough, pick it up, who knows when gh3 will be released anyway.

My wife who probably hates the fact I play 36 all the time LOVES this game. She's a freaking rock star. lol.. Seriously, I think she's better than me which kinda sucks. I do jump off the coffee table and kick high in the air on high notes so my performance is better. I got it for 89. The cord isn't that much of a destraction to hold off getting. This is the best game on the 360 imo.

the GF loves it here too, granted she has nothing on me in terms of "rock star power" but for someone who can't stand that i waste time playing games, its refreshing to see her actually using my 360 :P

Meh. I'll wait for wireless. I think its ridiculous that they would make a wired controller for the 360, while PS2 has a wireless version.

the ps2's wireless controller is third party, its not like the makers of the game made a wireless one for ps2 and not 360. Also i believe the issues with making the 360 one wireless was with MS's reluctance to allow third parties to use their wireless technology at this time.

You hardly notice the wire anyway, its plenty long enough and doesnt affect the game in any way, it still rocks.
