Online Updates

Does anyone know when some of the online problems this game has will be corrected? I heard a fix is coming. Any news?

Yeah it really sux when youre getting into a match and someone drops out or has a bad connection and it messes it up for everyone.

I dont know, but ya they better hurry up or I will be trading this game in at ebay for DOA4. I been holding it just praying for a patch or something to fix this crap of a multiplayer game.

I dont think i would sell it, because of the lag, which i dont really get sometimes. The single player is more than enough, but by the time i have defeated veteran it might become boring.

I just dont get it, they have a 77% attach rate to the 360 so almost everyone has the game. Everyone is complaining how bad the lag and connection is, let alone the lack of options for parties or even choosing the map you want to play. And it seems like they are doing nothing about it, are they really going to just ruin the COD name for future releases?

I would love to play COD2 online with my buddies or even with no lag but it just doesnt seem possible. I dont know how to do it. So I go back to Halo 2, no lag and i can play with whoever i want. Why can't these developers take a note down from one of the most successful games in the history of games and invest in some good quality servers and a decent matchmaking system? This has thusfar KILLED several games I have played and just turned around and traded in such as Black Hawk Down, Star Wars Battlefront2 and Battlefield 2. All of which could have been not good but great games if the online aspect was even kind of decent. Online gameplay is the future of gaming, I just wish developers would realize that.

Sorry for leading you on with the title. I was just wondering if anyone knew more than me. I absolutely love the game but the online interface is KILLING me. And the occasional lag is KILLING me. I hope the update is so very soon.

I agree it sucks but they are not talking about any update or plan. I dont know what they are waiting for either, everyone is complaining to them. IGN even had their own article about how bad it is, and they didnt even respond to them!

doesn't microsoft prohibit developers to realease patches, unless they are absolutely nesasary? because they think console gaming would end up being like the pc game industry, where developers often release an unfinished game and then release a patch after the release date, to fix the last bugs. (game example: battlefield 2 for pc, utterly rubbish at release)

With that aside i hope not. And even if that was the case with the amount of people that are complaining about it i do think its nessicary for a fix.
