Madden 09 Freezing?

I just recently bought Madden 09, and whenever I try to play a Franchise Pre-Season game, it freezes at the Loading screen. I simmed through my first year's pre-season games because of this, get to season 2, and same thing. It's only the pre-season games. Anyone else having this issue? and has anyone installed the game to their hard drive and had it worked? I'm tempted to try it for my season 3, but don't want to waste the time if someone can tell me it doesn't work.

No other game has ever frozen on my console, and My console was bought in Jan, so it's pretty new. Also, anything else in madden is fine, except for the Pre-season games. Any help is appreciated.
