Global Warming

Not sure how big a deal this is in other countries, but it seems to be HUGE talk in America.

Global warming is supposed to be this catastrophic thing that us humans are doing that is destroying the earth everyday. The democrats support this whole heartedly. Ever wonder why? Its because democrats are anti-capitalism, anti-free enterprise. They want goverment controlling everything. So the car manufacturers, oil embargos, are all the BIG reason as to why we have global warming.

In Al Gore's movie 'An Inconvenient Truth,' he talks about why we have had so many hurricanes, as well as so many destructive ones. He says its due to the heating up of the oceans. Not sure if you guys noticed, but this past year not one hurricane touched down on land in America.

I found it funny when Nancy Pelosi was in San Fransisco, CA announcing a Global Warming Committee when it was around 38 degrees F outside. It was unusually cold all over the southwest at the time actually.

Even if it were true, do you seriously think that by buying a Toyota Prius, the earth will be saved from this terrible terrible tragedy that we are doing to our planet? Please. If I read correctly, China more than doubles the amount of C02 production than does America.

Back in the 70's there was an article about Global Cooling, and if we didnt do something now, we will all die years ahead. Global warming is just another load of crap that we are being fed.

There are many scientist stating that there is barely any evidence that global warming is even a problem. But they are quickly hushed by the liberals. A liberal meteorologist said that any meteorologist that does not support global warming should have their license taken from them.

Those who believe in nothing, will fall for anything.

Shane, take that graph and make it look at the figures for more than 14,000 years. You can then shut up

We might be accountable for this increase in global temperature but this isn't the first time. It's natural.

Im well aware its not the first time, i think we all know about the ice age's scott. If you weren't so lazy u might read the links.(there hundreds of links out there wwere just 2 random ones i picked) its clearly showing the increase in the last 50 years is way more then the temp ever increased in any of the major climate changes, go suck a lemon scot!

Buddy you can throw all the graphs and links at me you want, but who made them? Scientists that have a liberal agenda.

It is in the negative degrees in many many many states right now here in the US, but you wont hear about it in the media. But when it reaches 80 degrees F, OH NO GLOBAL WARMING AHHH.

I have a hard time trusting science anymore. In the 70's we were heading towards the next ice age. In the `80s we couldn't eat eggs because of the cholesteral. In the `90s... something happened. Anyway, I think science is evolving and still in its enfancy.

Still, I don't willing pollute anything and I do my part to "Keep Oregon green". Although I could use some more sun over here...

Isn't it odd that one volcano spits out more pollutants in one eruption than all of Hollywood puts out in a whole year? That's arrogant to say that we're causing it when nature does much worse every day.

The main driving point behind global warming is government control. This is all designed to make you feel bad so you don't argue with paying more taxes and handing over more of your freedoms to the government. I'm not falling for it.

Shane... The US didn't sign the Kyoto accord (thank God). Neither did China. China is on the way to matching US output of pollutants in the next 10 years. Why are the Chinese not criticized and impugned as the Americans are for not participating?

I'm not going to put my family in financial ruin by buying an overpriced foreign hybrid piece of crap (0-60 in 47.5 seconds), installing overpriced compact flourescent lightbulbs, or purchasing a geothermal furnace just to "feel better" or "feel like I'm making a difference". I feel fine thanks.

Global warming is real, but not in the way most people think. At least for my theory anyways.

The Earth went through an Ice-Age millions of years ago, why can't the same be happening now? A soon to be Heat-Age? The world changes all the time. Evolution and what not.

I live in Florida, the summers are not getting any hotter than they always have been. And you just cancelled your opinion out when you said colder and colder winters, its global WARMing remember? Your so blind you dont even realize it.

Global warming is a natural occurance Its happening and there isnt a damn thing we can do about it. Thats not to say we havent sped it up. We are technically still in the Ice Age. Everyone is in a state of panic but nobody really knows exactly what is going to happen. I'm fairly confident that we are going to be o.k. though. As places in the world become uninhabitable other places will become habitable. Besides I say bring it on. London will be Under water and I'm gonna be living by the seaside.
