Serenity. the TV series was pretty well done, and i liked most of the characters (except the doctor, whatta biatch). The movie did pretty well too. i watched it in HD DVD, looked good. pretty good story, bad guy was pretty bad. that one chick is pretty hot.

Saw Iron Man today, 8.5/10.
Downey was funny, the special fx were done very well and weren't "over the top". Pretty decent acting by the main characters. Even my wife liked it a lot.

I see that "Iron Man 2" is already announced for a 2010 release.

They have a show coming out on history channel about indiana jones movies and their effect on archeology and stuff. think its called indiana jones and the ultimate something or other. Anyway, looks interesting, like those shows they have done on real star wars tech or star trek tech.

Driving Lessons--7/10-- it's an English movie, kind of weird but pretty good..

Iron Man - 8.5/10 a pretty good movie. Special effects were good and it was pretty funny as well. Definitely one of the better comic book movies I have seen.

Out For Justice. Classic Steven Seagal movie, before he was out to save the world or did all his movies in France. typical new york cop with some italian name. he had some good ass kicking scenes. worth a watch every couple o years. 6/10

Legend films. The new film doesn't have Nazis in it, shame.

Yeah, it has sean connery in it.

So what year is the new one suppose to take place? All the old ones were set in the 30's, so is this new one post ww2, hence the russians?

I just watched a winner. Called Black Sheep. No, it isn't with our favorite Chris Farley, this was way awesomer.
It's a tale of genetically altered sheep in new zealand that kill and eat the flesh of people. And the people they bite that aren't eaten turn into sheep zombies! (sort of like minotaurs, except more sheeplike.)
It was actually pretty well done...i was surprised at how good the creature effects were. all the zombie sheep and sheepataurs looked very well done. I guess some guys from Weta studios helped out on this movie.
for sheer novelty i'd give it a 9/10. for good blood/guts (and there was a lot) 10/10. Acting was pretty decent too 8/10. Overall i'd give it about 8/10.

Alien vs Predator 2----- 4/10

Worse than the first one!!! As basic and paint by numbers as sci-fi movies come. The only thing improved from the first one is the blood and gore has returned and the predator is more of a badass than the first movie.

I thought the fact the predator was more badass made it a better movie. i didn't think it could be worse then the first one. first one seemed like a TV show.

Waaaaaay better than the first movie. yea it was a little more "standard" fare, but after finding an ancient pyramid of doom in the antartic in the first one, im fine with standard. The hybrid alien was more fun, the predator was choc full of ass kickery (and killed anyone he saw no matter what species), and the humans fought back with the power of the US military...
while its still a standard horror/sci fi flick, its much improved over the first lame movie.
