I own Highlander, and I have a copy of Predator that has been MIA for years. When you're on your death bed, I'll put on The Warriors for you, but for anyone else, I'd recommend Schindler's List, Planet of the Apes (original version), Blood Diamond, or scores and scores of other films that demonstrate quality in cinema.
Edit: It's much like saying a game is worth renting, but not buying. Its good entertainment, but not the epitome of quality. | Hmmmm you OWN these movies but they are not must see? Why would you own them if you didn't want to watch them again and again? Planet of the Apes? Let's add Pootie-Tang while we're at it! |

Since there are only a hundred movies in the universe worth watching that is.
That must make movie time at your place a real treat. |

That must make movie time at your place a real treat. | I'm not sure why you can't draw a distinction between low-budget, poorly acted B-movies, and genuine quality cinematic features that fall into the " MUST see" category. Frankly, we're off topic and I'm tired of talking about with you, so whatever. You win, Predator is a cinematic achievement of epic proportions, was more revolutionary than Citizen Kane, had a better plot twist than The Crying Game, and featured better acting than any DeNiro movie you can name! Anyone that doesn't think its a MUST SEE is a complete moron, and not entitled to an opinion.
I'm done with this topic.

The process is someone names a movie they think is a classic (like when you said Scarface and Heat), then it has to be approved or voted for 3 times by 3 different people. Once that happens it is added to the list of classics (which is located at the start of the thread). |

Posts: 2,043 | Also I approve of American History X as well. I updated the classics list now again on the first page. American History X and Goodfellas now added to it.
Here's the movies that are being or not being approved for the list of classics: - Requiem for a Dream: no votes of approval (this is blasphemy btw)
- Memento: no votes of approval
- Mallrats:1 vote
- Clerks: 1 vote
- Pootie Tang: no votes (please stay that way)
- LOTR trilogy: 1 vote
- Indiana Jones trilogy: no votes
Remember, someone names a movie, then 3 people have to vote in approval of it to be a considered a classic.
