Correct me if i am wrong (and i might be since i didn't pay too much attention), but when the xbox--original--was released, didn't it do very poorly for a while, because it was released into the ps2's world (and gamecube...sort of)? Now the roles are reversed, the xbox has control of the next gen world and its the ps3 trying to break into it, and like before, seems to be doing poorly. but like the original xbox eventually took off, it makes sense the ps3 will take off once it works out some kinks (think this goes with the whole, "give it time" theme that most people are posting).
I'd go buy a ps3 now, they have a whole pile in the middle of best buy here. but i just don't buy new technology until its proven. i think a year is a good time to wait, for the hardware as well as a better game library. it seems it took the 360 a year or so to work out a lot of hardware issues. |
Actually, the original Xbox outsold the 360 in their respective first years. The Xbox then slowed down considerably from then on because of the lack of games support. There are no hardware issues with the PS3, it's all down to the small games library. |
