Back to the PS3:

How can you even make such a claim when the PS3 hasn't been released in the biggest gaming market in the world? Europe is the most pro-Sony region of the big 3 so you cannot just shun it's rather mediocre sales in USA and especially Japan.

There's much more talk of the PS3 in the UK than either the Wii or the Xbox 360 so expect big sales, even with the big price-tag.
europe is a bigger sony fan than homeland japan? come now

Have you seen PS3 sales in Japan? The console isn't doing much better than the Xbox 360...and that's saying something.

Japan is now officially Nintendo-land. The Wii and DS are perfect for their culture and are destroying all competition.

Seriously, just watch PS3 sales in Europe. The PS3 has sold about 0.6 million units in Japan. More than that will go on launch-day in Europe.

I don't think they sell them in the US lol.

Jaffa cake is almost a UK tradition

I like them...in moderation.

Those cake things do look good. Everyone said i should move to england and enjoy their bland food, because i don't like spicy stuff.
The US has tasty cakes...anyone had them? i know they are on the east coast, but i have never found them here or the west coast. they look similar.

Correct me if i am wrong (and i might be since i didn't pay too much attention), but when the xbox--original--was released, didn't it do very poorly for a while, because it was released into the ps2's world (and gamecube...sort of)? Now the roles are reversed, the xbox has control of the next gen world and its the ps3 trying to break into it, and like before, seems to be doing poorly. but like the original xbox eventually took off, it makes sense the ps3 will take off once it works out some kinks (think this goes with the whole, "give it time" theme that most people are posting).
I'd go buy a ps3 now, they have a whole pile in the middle of best buy here. but i just don't buy new technology until its proven. i think a year is a good time to wait, for the hardware as well as a better game library. it seems it took the 360 a year or so to work out a lot of hardware issues.

All PS3 are sold out in Ireland, if you dont have pre-order you aint getting one, now i know were a small country but we have a big gaming market and thats gota be a good sign for sony, specially with the price of the ps3.

Actually, the original Xbox outsold the 360 in their respective first years. The Xbox then slowed down considerably from then on because of the lack of games support. There are no hardware issues with the PS3, it's all down to the small games library.
