While it is certainly not the Indiana Jones we all remember it is still a very good movie. However, if you are expecting a movie on par with Raiders of the Lost Ark you will be disappointed. The action is nonstop and, in my opinion, never too over the top. Although CGI is used a lot, the movie never really relies on them as a crutch. The acting is great and Ford still plays the part masterfully. His age is alluded to a few times, but its not overdone. Just as in all the movies, the fight scenes are amazingly well done. Although Shia LaBeouf does get his fair share of classic Indy style action, it never seems as though we are witnessing a passing of the torch. Indy is still able to keep up and maintains the lead. However, is is apparent that Mutt shows the vigor of the young Indy. Also, the supporting cast of the movie all play their parts very well. The Russians make for fine replacements to the Nazis. That being said, the lead antagonist is definitely no Donavin or Belloq. In addition, there are many humorous parts as well as homages to the series throughout. The only real problems I had were a bit too much cgi at certain points, monkeys (you will know what I mean when you see the movie), and an ending which is a bit over the top and goofy. Overall I would recommend this movie to all and happily welcome it to the Indiana Jones saga. | as long as it wasn't worse then temple o doom. glad to hear it was pretty good. been spotty reviews, i heard. |

An absolute disgrace to the Indy trilogy. | It's a lucas film, charles! it's ok, you can sleep well at night knowing that georgy-boy will re-make the movie in about 20 years (the original trilogy is up for a remake soon ), and maybe he'll fix his mistakes...or add to them. Or it will be in 3d. You'll have to wait and see. |

why does the third of nearly every trilogy ever have to suck? first person to name a good 3rd movie in a trilogy gets a prize. (the prize is a boost in your own self-esteem) Die Hard With A Vengeance was as good as the first. I WIN!! |

Just left the theatre and Charles is completly right. Harrison Ford plays Indy just as good as always (he's not too old yet) but the movie lacks everything that make the first 3 so great. The CGI is overused and looks quite poor for a movie of this budget and caliber. So bad I was waiting for Jar Jar to show up.
The best comparison I can make is it's just as disappointing as the Star Wars prequels. After seeing this my belief is confirmed that Lucas and Spielberg forgot how to make good movies after 1989.

I thought it was really good, shame the ending was so quick and not really expanded on. I thought it built up well, then crumbled at the end.
Boosts Score, 7 Turbos out of 10
Cheers

9/10 looked immense, and its so over the top I loves it. Enchanted (BluRay)
2/10 Actually looked great, but was sooo boring and the ***ass songs were so cheesy it was shocking. The red head looked decent but not nearly enough to make up for the gash film. | |
