I saw knowing on the weekend. I'd give it (up until the final scenes) a 9/10. It was very cool, and suspenseful, and in some parts it got really spooky. Then they ended it in an extremely weird way (although the world ends in a cool way), that would make me give it a 2 out of 10. I'm not going to say what, but it is like the indiana jones movie...
The Butterfly Effect 2 - 6.5/10 this seriously was not that great, and a huge letdown considering how good the first one was.
The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations - 7/10 I'm no movie buff and I've heard really bad reveiws about this movie but it was enjoyable to the last scene, way better than the 2nd one, but not as good as the first.
i didn't even know there was a 2nd and 3rd lol, do they have kutcher in?
i just watched memento last night and it was awesome and for once original. 9.5/10

I got my hands on a legit DVD screener the other day.. and I just watched it today and it was AMAZING! The only reason I don't give it a 10/10 is because it strays from the comic SO MUCH(and I'm a comic nerd, so what?!) and I know all the movies did, but this one strayed hardcore.. It's still good though, I strongly recommend if it if you liked any of the other X-Men movies.
and the other butterfly effects didn't have kutcher in it, but it was still about the same thing, time traveling and changing things in one's past. The second one I believe was straight to DVD and the third came out as one of this year's "horrorfest 8 films to die for" movies.

Starship Troopers - 8/10
I never watched this, I know it was like a right of passage for everyone my age in the 5th grade(when it came out) but it was a cool movie, even now. I can't believe it took me so long to watch it.
Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation - 6/10
Definitely not as good as the first one, you can tell it was low budget, they didn't have many CGI sequences with the bugs.
Starship Troopers 3: Marauder - 7/10
The actor who played Rico returned for this one. Had a lot more story within the federation and colonies and you understand more or less how their government worked, has quite a bit of action too!
Death Race - 7.5/10
Enjoyable. Has action, fancy car scenes, hot women, Deranged villains and Jason Statham.
The Spirit - 8/10
Has Samuel L Jackson! I enjoyed it, though it's now entirely that good. Kinda has a Sin City feel, with the colors and graphics. Pretty neat.

you'd give starship troopers 2 a 6? man, that is more like a -2. it was just so bad. 3 was a masterpiece compared to 2. and it had big cool robots.
Air, the movie. some anime. not sure if it is based on a series or what (nothing more confusing then trying to figure out anime stuff). animation was good, story was weird, and it was kind of sad. 7/10
punisher 2: warzone. frickin awesome. all the sweet gratuitious violence you can handle. and CG blood. it's up there with rambo 4. sweet. 9/10
yeah, I like movies regardless. Even if most people say that "it's the worst movie they ever saw." To me that gets thrown around loosely now a days... the way I see it, is if can hold my interest till the end, it deserves at least an automatic 6. I have the same kind of ranking system when it comes to my women, if a chick is skinny, that's an automatic 7 in my book. There's always exceptions to the rules though.
Horrorfest 2009 8 films to die for!!
The Broken - 6.5/10
This brit film was ok I guess. about mirrors, and your doppelganger coming out of the mirror, killing you and taking your place in this world. it had it's moments, but the storyline was completely predictable
Slaughter - 7.5/10
one of my favorites this year, based on a true story. It's a pretty good story, good acting.
Perkins 14 - 6.5/10
I like zombie movies most the time, but this one was "eh." about 14 kidnapped kids.
From Within - 8/10
this movie held my interest. nice original story(I think it's original anyways, sure as heck seemed like it was) another one of my favs this year.
Dying Breed - 7/10
eh, it was gory, had inbred sons of bitches, and a big ugly inbred dude that liked raping women. it's about 4 people going to Tasmania to try and find the infamous Tasmanian tiger.
Autopsy - 7/10
this movie was ok, very deranged like most of these horrorfest movies are... and very gory.
There are two more; one I have watched and rated(butterfly effect 3) and the other is voices, which I will watch tonight and edit this post.
Edit:
Voices - 8/10
I would say the best one of the 8 that came out this year. It's Korean and it's subbed. reminds me of the best horrorfest film I've seen, which is Reincarnation(9/10), well the only similarity(other than genre) is that it is an English sub movie. Reincarnation is still the best, that one is creepy as shiet.
