It's been a while since I did posted these, but here are a few movies I've watched this week. I always watch movies, just don't always post.

3:10 to Yuma - 8/10
Pretty decent western movie with Christian Bale and Kurt Russel. It was pretty good story, they catch a criminal, then Bale gets offered money to escort him to the 3:10 train to Yuma, Arizona. Since Bale plays a poor farmer with problems, he takes the $$$. Good acting, I'd expect nothing less from these 2.

The Devil's Tomb - 6(+1)/10

I like demonic horrors, so I gave it an automatic +1 for that. Cuba Gooding Jr. plays a leader of a spec ops team going on a rescue mission in an underground science facility in Iraq. He is told nothing about what's down there, but when they get there, there's all sorts of Demon's possessing bodies inducing hallucinations. It's a decent movie, it won't win any awards though.

Still Waiting - 6.5/10
The sequel to waiting. Has majority of all characters returing and it's about Shenanigans getting a little competition from a "Hooter's" like restaurant. Not as good as the first.

Zombie Strippers - 6/10
It was eh. Strippers get turned into zombies then dance center stage in ways never seen by man. Men love and then when they get taken to the back they get eaten. Had Jenna Jameson, Tito Ortiz(bouncer), Rashad Evans(random guy) as well as other Team Punishment fighters in the crowd of men. Dave Englund(spelling?) too.

Dawn of the Dead(1978) - 9(+1)/10

F*ckin awesome movie, I can't believe it's that old and I've never watched it. It's definitely a zombie movie classic! I give it that +1 for being so good and very old. It's about 4 people survive in a mall until a motorcycle gang comes in and ruins all the fun, duh!

Defiance - 8/10
Pretty good movie although I was expecting it to be more action oriented. Both Daniel Craig as well as Liev Shreiber give excellent performances.

Gran Torino - 9.5/10
An absolutely EXCELLENT movie. Clint Eastwood is superb in both his performance in both the movie as well as director. There is great character development and the story is extremely compelling. Highly recommended for all.

Saints and Soldiers - 7.5/10
A little known independent film which follows the true story of 4 WWII American GIs and a downed Royal Air Force pilot trapped behind German lines. While the effects and visuals are certainly not up to the quality of Saving Private Ryan or Band of Brothers they are not bad. The performances are not great but overall are solid. Any fan of WWII movies would most likely enjoy this movie.

Sharks in Venice 2/10
probably not even worth a 2, but I love to MST3K bad movies with the wife and friends. Even given all the jokes this movie was still a waste of time and didn't make it into the "it's so bad it's good" category.

Punisher: War Zone 100 out of 10
everything I ever wanted from a Punisher movie. anger, guns and heads exploding. This and the remake of Death Race give me the same feeling 80's action movies like Robocop and Mad Max gave me. Not oscar cinema, but solidly executed action movies with silly settings/characters/plots

not seen the others but gran torino is ****ing amazing. i think you hit the nail on the head there blu

romeo and juliet - 9.8/10 - always will be one of my favorite films and books, i love the adaptation of the story and of course the story itself. i'm not usually one for love stories but this is one that could never be beaten imo

quarantine. 5/10. dumb. at first i was like, good setting for a horror movie, dealing with a disease that makes people zombish and violent, but still believable. but like most horror movies, people just gotta be dumb to make it go. when things started getting bad, the movie got really dumb. the infected people did look pretty scary.

punisher warzone ruled. it ruled dammit! 100/10 is right.

Shark 3: Megalodon!!

10 out of 10 cheese factor

awesomely shlocky B level movie. has tits, sharks eating things, bad acting. how can you not like a movie that has a line "how about I take you home and eat your pussy". If that is not enough to sell you on this movie, it has a giant shark!

Up really scored that low? I heard it was suppose to be one of the best movies of this year.

Just watched The Evil Dead Trilogy.

The Evil Dead - 8/10
Didn't try to be funny, it was just a straight up horror. Loved it.

The Evil Dead II - 7.5/10
Same basic story as The Evil Dead, really like the exact same aside from a few characters, and Ash chopping off his own hand. And this is where it invokes the "comedy" aspect. It ends differently than the first, setting up the third.

Army of Darkness: The Evil Dead III - 7/10
This one was all about the cheesy comedy. Takes place right after the second one. Changing what had happened at the end of the 2nd one. I still enjoyed it though.

lol Blaster.
I think I would have loved it had I seen it the year it came out. I've never seen any of these movies until this year, the last 2 until that yesterday. So it probably doesn't have the nostalgic factor it has for you. Is till enjoyed Army of Darkness, but I guess it didn't appeal to me in 2009 the same way it would have appealed to me in 1993.(maybe 94?)

The first one was great man, I love horrors, and that one was no bullsh*t straight to creepy demon like sh*t. lol. The second one is where they tried to incorporate all the cheesy comedy and junk, I still liked it, even though it was the same exact story pretty much.. and the third one? lol, I liked that it continued the series but I don't know man. It would have scored a 9 easily if I had been 7 and watching that ish.

When that movie came out in the early 90's and I was still a young teen I thought it was an awesome and funny movie. I watched it again like a year or two ago and was bored out of my mind and only found 1 joke in the entire movie funny. It didn't stand the test of time and would probably rate it lower than a 7 now.

I know it enrages millions of nerds, but the movie isn't that great. (my young self would try and kick my ass for that comment )

No it is not that great, a 7 is a good score for them they are schlock
plain and simple. but they are fun. BC makes a hell of a movie. they are far from cinema greatness but they are not awful. I keep the evil dead on my instant queue on my 360 so I can have a good scare when I need it.

Shaun of the Dead - 8/10

Classic Zombie Comedy... You either love it or hate and I've watched it quite a few times and still love it.
